We were late getting into port and off our ship. George waited for us and met us at the port. We had an excellent tour. George was very knowledgeable and explained a lot of history and legends to us. It was interesting seeing the colossus of Rhodes through another set of eyes. I would very much recommend Half Price Tours and will use them again if we get back to Rhodes.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this intricate, comprehensive, and wildly interesting tour. Looking in any direction in Rhodes Old Town, you can see the results of thousands of years of colonisers, cultures, religions, and incoming and outgoing philosophies. Our guide took us through each segment of time, jumping back and forth between Byzantine battlements, Islamic Installations, Italian Civic responsibility (and Fascism!) and ancient ports and settlements. You really can’t tell the tale of this place without jumping between them all. It was a pleasure and had real resonances with the politics (and lack thereof) of today. We loved it.
