Overview

It will be a climbing day on the banks of the Chili River in the Chilina Valley. It doesn't matter if it's your first time climbing or if you have already practiced this sport a lot, the place we go to is great for beginners and experts. Charcani is an ideal area for sports and relaxation located at the foot of the Chili River and next to the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Chapi, patron of Arequipa; ensuring a perfect environment to enjoy an excellent day adventure.

10:00 or 13:00 Pick up from your hotel We head towards the Chilina Valley where we will stop to observe a beautiful view of the Chili River at the foot of the three volcanoes and the cultivation of local products. Start of climbing in "Charcani". Appropriate introduction and training will be carried out before carrying out the activity. We will have 3 hours of climbing where the difficulty will depend on the skills of each participant. I liked it very much! I was not strong enough and it was very hard for me but I had so much fun and I trusted Alejandro completely, so I had a very good experience because of him! He helped me with his knowledge and big experience to reach the top ot the mountains!!! I will continue with climbing to get stronger.

Great rock climbing experience with Rojo

I had a great first rock climbing experience with Rojo. The whole organisation was so easy and it was no problem that I booked it very spontaneous the night before. Rojo picked up me and two other travelers that I told about and that spontaneously joined as well. They had all the equipment prepared and I felt really safe the whole time and loved the feeling of climbing and the great view! They even offered cookies to us to refill our burnt carbs. Very sweet and thoughtful. I had a great time and I loved that they took care of everything! Thanks!

Best day climbing in Arequipa!

If you like climbing and adventure, this trip is for you! Our guide Ale was super knowledgeable and made us feel safe and comfortable while at the same time challenging us with some quite exciting routes on the rock. Additionally, we learned how to belay and therefore were able to climb even more routes. We’ve been at a beautiful spot with a river close by which we could enjoy for a bit as well. Important: Even though you don’t see them or feel them in the beginning, there are a lot of mosquitos that want to bite you, so put a lot of repellent, trust me ;)

Fantastic experience - we had only climbed once before but Juan Carlos was so friendly and reassuring, and clearly an expert and very safety conscious. We climbed 4 different routes - we couldn’t quite complete the 4th but all were great fun. We’d happily climb again here.
