Seastar was the best, there was plenty of crew and they were very helpful and friendly. The food, snacks and drinks were great, thanks to Adriana. They were very knowledgeable about the great barrier reef and allowed us to do both snorkeling and the glass bottom boat. We had the best time.

This day was one of the best on our 4 week vacation. Seastar is a family run/ oriented business. The crew was knowledgeable and understanding to individual and group needs. We were a family of 4 (parents/adult kids) and had a great time. All of us were signed up for snorkeling but two of the group also tried scuba diving. Certified scuba instructor were patient and accommodating. Seeing different parts of the reef was great. We recommend Seastar and would go out with them again.

Great crew, small ship/group, interesting places visited. We got a glass bottom boat ride which was not mentioned in the program. We saw a lot of different corals and fish and got interesting information about the reef. Food was good and plentiful. Felt safe all the time. Absolutely nothing negative to mention.

We went out Jan 2025 on a perfect weather, perfect seas day. Only 16 or 18 of us with half again that many as crew. The team was excellent in all things: communication, timeliness, safety, equipment, customer engagement, even the on board food was good. They made sure we were comfortable and in control of our experience - what we wanted to do (snorkel, dive, or just sail along), how we wanted to do it (guided or alone, with various equipment options), and for how long. They also threw in “extras” like a glass bottom boat option and photo-documentation of our experience - no extra charge! These guys were our best snorkel experience ever, and we have snorkeled all over the world. Their reef choices, their reef knowledge, and all of the above made this experience stand out. Only go out with these guys in Cairns!

Incredible. We looked at a couple of tours and reviews before going ahead with this one, mainly based on the positive reviews but also because it advertised as having less people on the boat which I preferred. Our trip had just 21 people on. As soon as we got on the boat, we were welcomed by staff and there was muffins / tea and coffee that you could help yourselves too for breakfast. Staff were very polite and informative about the day and how the plan of the day would go. We went out into the ocean and got into sting suits, given flippers and eye goggles / snorkels (prescription ones also available for those that wear glasses). We got into the ocean and was taken round with a guide showing telling us when they spotted things. At first when we got off the boat, it was quite overwhelming with waves crashing over us and getting used to the snorkels etc but the guides were amazing at helping us and guiding us through. After exploring the mini island / beach we then went back to the boat for lunch which was really good, good portion sizes. Lunch consisted of cooked chicken legs, a vegetable bake along with fresh bread, salads and pastas. After lunch, we then moved to another spot and went back into the ocean for more snorkelling before getting back on the boat for tea/ coffee and muffins / fresh fruit. Overall the day was really good, would highly recommend,- they really have something for everyone and really put you at ease.
