Overview

Enjoy classic Japanese experience at our selected restaurants. Local food & drinks as we journey through Tokyo’s busiest area in Shinjuku. - 7+ mouth-watering Japanese food tastings, enough for a full dinner meal, served from three selected restaurants. - Drinks to taste great Izakaya style dinner. You may also choose your drinks (Beer, Sake & other drinks). Non-alcoholic beverages are also available. - Explore Shinjuku visiting famous must-see spots as well as hidden gems. Enjoy unique views of Tokyo’s neon town, Kabukicho. It requires 1~2km of walking. Please let us know if you have any food restrictions at least a week before the tour date. We cannot accommodate last minute food requests. Vegetarian and gluten free options are limited.

Itinerary

Nishishinjuku

After meeting the tour group, we will visit 2-3 local izakayas in the area.

Kabukicho District

We will walk thourgh Kabukicho, the downtown area of Shinjuku. We will also visit one izakaya that is popular among the locals

Shinjuku Golden Gai

We will end the tour around golden gai.

30 minutes
Omoide Yokocho

We will walk through this iconic alley of Shinjuku

Great food tour and an even better guide. Max was great and very charismatic and informative not only regarding the food and how it's made but also the surrounding culture(Shintoism/Buddhism). Great tour, highly recommend

What an amazing experience eating and drinking around shinjuku! Max was such a great host and tour guide, knowledgeable, great peoples person and all around experience. Impressed with all the food we ate and sightseeing! 10/10 highly recommend!

I did this tour on 12/5 with Yusuke and it was a really amazing experience. Yusuke is a great tour guide and he is very knowledgeable of the area and local cuisines. The food we tried was all very good and interesting, as were the drinks. It was definitely one of the best food tours I’ve been on.

Hands down the best food tour in Tokyo! Such a fantastic selection of dishes to try with a wonderful guide. We went to a variety of restaurants that included a private dinner with a young chef and a bustling local restaurant where we were the only foreigners. They change locations every evening based on availability, but the quality of every location is excellent. Highly recommend!
