This Palermo cooking class is not only a fun and valuable cooking experience but also a fascinating journey through Sicilian food and culture. Taking place in one of the most beautiful Palermo historic building, meet your Sicilian cook in the morning in order to go together to buy food in a local market. Once the shopping is done, it is time to go home and start cooking together. Prepare 4 dishes (a complete truly Sicilian menu) while drinking local Sicilian wines and discovering more about this beautiful region.

We will go together to the market to buy all the ingredients, then we walk 10 minutes to go home and we start cooking, always with a glass of wine too.

Busiate is a typical pasta shape from Trapani town, and we will prepare it with a local special Trapani pesto, different from the common green one.

Wonderful experience!

Patricia is amazing. You will not regret taking this class and spending a few hours with her. Our family enjoyed all we learned about Sicilian cooking but also talking about culture and people and traditions. The food was excellent as was the snacking along the way. I think we could have spent many more hours just chatting with her. A great Sicilian experience!

I felt so welcomed from the very beginning. As a solo traveler it very good to be received well. The trip to the market was as informative as the class. I would highly recommend. I can't wait to share these dishes with my family.

Patrizia creates a warm friendly environment for all her guests. The food was amazing and comforting. After traveling for weeks, it felt so good to be taken care of as welcomed guests in her home as we learned how to cook authentic Sicilian food. She is a true joy. Time with Patrizia was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!

Wonderful cooking experience of Sicilian cuisine

Since it was a holiday, Patrizia offered to conduct the class at her home in S Stefano Di Camastra, which is a hour train ride from Palermo. Patrizia has a beautiful home in the hills, with views of sea & mountains. She was kind to pick me from the train station. We made a unique pesto with almonds (instead of pine nuts), eggplant caponata & Involtini di carne (sliced beef rolls with fillling), all of which were amazing. Patrizia made the process of cooking very easy, and also showed how to retain the original taste & texture, which is essence of Sicilian cooking. She served locally made wine which was unique & paired well with the meal. Thanks to Patrizia for being a wonderful host, culinary instructor & conversationalist. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience & highly recommend.
