Mohamed arranged for four of us to take a Tuk Tuk tour of Marrakech. Our driver was lovely, but didn't speak much English, but it wasn't a problem. We had a wonderful afternoon starting with a trip to the Saadian Tombs. This is a beautiful necropolis of tombs for the rulers dating back to the 16th century and earlier. The decoration is absolutely stunning, and queuing to see inside is very worth the wait. We then drove through the back streets of Marrakesh in the Tuk Tuk, observing life in all it's colourful chaos, on our way to visit the Tannery. This is not a place for those with delicate stomachs, but they do give you fresh mint to put under your nose to filter the smell. This is very interesting and there are some beautiful leather products to purchase afterwards for some very reasonable prices if you're prepared to haggle! We then visited the main square and the souks, before returning to the Majorelle Gardens to meet Mohamed again. We would have visited them, but by this time we were tired and chose to leave this for another day.
Earlier in the day, i'd mentioned to Mohamed that my big leather boots needed to have the zips replaced. He offered to get them fixed and brought back to me the following day at our hotel. Good to his word he did this but we were out when he arrived in the evening, so he left them at reception for me. I asked him how I could get the money to him for the repair, and he told me not to worry about it! What a lovely man who went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Sabra for all your trips. 100% reliable :-)
