La Paz Waterfall Gardens

This is a day-pass to the La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park. The park features five waterfalls, cloud forest and rain forest, safe hiking trails, aviary with numerous species of birds, toucan feeding, insect exhibit, butterfly observatory, capuchin (white-faced) monkeys, black-handed spider monkeys, hummingbird garden with 26 documented species, hummingbird hand feeding in the mornings and afternoons, serpentarium (snake exhibit), jaguars, pumas, ocelots, margays,ox cart, and an orchid exhibit. You will be able to enjoy any of these by using the day pass. Meals are not included but can be purchased on site

Waterfalls galore

The La Paz Waterfall Gardens were incredible. Definitely worth visiting. We enjoyed seeing all the different birds, butterflies and animals but the highlight for me was the waterfall trail. Absolutely gorgeous! Park is well maintained. I would visit if again.

Very well done park. A lot of attention to detail on making it a beautiful place to visit. Must do if staying near San Jose. Even the buffet lunch was good, and I'm not usually a fan of park food.

Highly Recommend a visit to La Paz

We really enjoyed the La Paz water gardens . The toucans and hummingbird feeding stations next to the restaurant were two of the highlights. The gardens are beautiful and we also really enjoyed the walk down the series of waterfalls - these were particularly impressive because of the amount of rain that had been falling in the days (and hours infact) before. We had lunch on site which was reasonably priced and tasty. Overall we are really pleased we did this visit and highly recommend it - good value for money and the gardens were incredibly beautiful. Be aware that at the gift shop at the end of the waterfall walk many items do not have prices marked so ask before you buy.

Was very good not to crowded little rain for couples minutes and beautiful views. Easy itinerary from San Jose with a rented car.

Our tour guide, Pablo, excelled on yesterday's waterfall tour. The waterfall tour comes highly recommended. The Poas Volcano Tour proved to be an exciting adventure. John Jiménez's guidance was exceptional. Wear comfortable shoes to ensure a pleasant experience. I had an awesome massage by Maira.
