Overview

Located within a ranch, the Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata offers snorkeling in small guided groups of up to ten visitors. Visitors will snorkel down crystalline rivers alongside more than 50 colorful species of tropical fish. This giant aquarium experience consists of two parts: a trail through the lush, tropical riparian forest, and a 2 hour aquatic journey (2 km snorkeling downriver) down the astonishingly clear Olho d’Água river, that joins the bigger and slightly less transparent Prata river (600 meters snorkeling). There is also the option of scuba diving the Prata river. The ranch also offers other activities: horseback riding through the farm fields and birdwatching with 200 species registered. The ecotourism attraction has won awards for its compromisse with visitor’s safety, quality and nature conservation.

Amazing experience floating down the river Prata. Excellent and professional guide. Facilities at Recanto RIo da Prata were excellent , very pleasant, respecting nature space, very clean facilities and comfortable. Staff in general very helpful and friendly. Food served was excellent and delicious. Vegetables and salad are fresh from the garden. The Doce de Leite is made in the farm also fresh and to die for. I was in heaven!!

Fantastic Day on the River

There are many river floating tours around Bonito, and I personally went to Rio Sucuri, Rio Azul and Rio del Prata. This tour was a step above the others in quality, everything from the delicious buffet lunch on arrival, to the well equipped facilities, to the friendly staff and guides. The tour was far longer than others, allowing for a lot more time floating and seeing different species of fish and the sources of the river bubbling up from the bottom. Overall there were no I problems and I had a marvellous experience.

Super from start to finish

Spent the morning floating down the river in a small group with just the fish for company. Great care and planning has gone into the organisation of this tour to ensure all guests have a safe but very enjoyable tour. Staring with a tour of the sustainable property our guide took us to the transport to the river. A short informative walk through the trees brought us to the crystal clear river where we quickly started our journey in the river. Our group comprised of young and old and we were well looked after by our guide. After the end of our water journey we were rewarded with a typical local lunch made with products from the property. A really enjoyable experience.

The snorkeling has been an amazing experience. We swam in cristal clear water and saw so many fishes. Luiz was a super tour guide, we had a lot of fun. Definitely recommend the tour!!
