The Hagia Sophia, also known as Ayasofya in Turkish, is a famous historic building located in the old city. It was originally built as the biggest cathedral in the world by Byzantine Empire in the 6th century and later converted into a mosque during the Ottoman Empire after the conquest of Istanbul in 1453. The building is renowned for its massive dome and beautiful mosaics that reflect its rich history and architectural significance. Outstanding Tour Company

This is the second time I have used Daily Istanbul Tours (DIT) on cruises that stopped in Turkey. Even though there had been about 5 years between the times we visited Istanbul, the quality of the service provided by DIT has continued to be outstanding. On this trip, I had a group of 15 senior classmates and spouses, and we had 3 different tours set up with DIT. Each of our guides was knowledgeable, personable, flexible and eager to make our tours something special. All of my group was very complimentary of the tours that DIT set up for us. We were given the opportunity to be flexible and change things when necessary. It was also extremely easy to work with the Operations Manager, Soner Tufan in the DIT office in setting up the tours, so they each ended up being outstanding. I would highly recommend DIT for cruise or ground tours, and if I'm ever in the area in the future I will certainly use them again.

Our tour was fabulous! Ozlem was the perfect guide. She was able to get us to all the sights we wanted to see as well as a nice rest for lunch which was delicious. Can’t say enough about our experience. Perfect day in Istanbul!
Perfect Ending to a Perfect Cruise

Our guide met us right when we left the cruise port and our driver got us to the historic center very quickly. Our Guide was quite knowledgeable about the sites, answered all of our questions and was highly attentive. She pointed out every bump and curb so we didn't fall which was easy to do as you are always looking up at the amazing sites. I highly recommend a private tour like this versus what the cruise ship offers (cattle car format). The personal attention is worth a couple extra dollars.

Great tour! Learned so much about Istanbul that we wouldn’t never have known exploring on our own. Met us right at the cruise port and had a nice transfer to all the sites. Much better than taking the ship organized tour. Best part it was just our group. Highly recommend!
