Travel in a comfortable 4wd to visit Seal Bay, take a stroll to observe the Sea Lions sleeping on the beach, look for koalas at Flinders Chase National Park and enjoy a gourmet Picnic or BBQ lunch . After lunch, visit the Flinders Chase National Park, home of Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks and have a nice cup of coffee watching the kangaroos at sunset at Grassdale Conservation Park ... this is what you can do and much more! During the tour will see a lot of wildlife including the elusive echidna. You will have an experienced tour guide all for your group (max 8 passengers) and with their experience you will be able to observe the wildlife in their natural habitat. ***Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for cruise ship passengers arriving to the island because we will finish later than the last ship tender***

On DAY 1 we pick up from all the major Hotel and B&B in Kingscote, American River and Penneshaw. On DAY 2 P/Up is only from Kingscote or American River but we will be able to drop you off at the end of the tour in Penneshaw and at the Ferry ... Terminal (Dep. Ferry at 7.30PM). If you are booking this 2 days tour you NEED TO BOOK AN ACCOMMODATION IN KINGSCOTE. We will be unable to pick you up from Penneshaw on the second day. Read more ▼

Fabulous 2-Day tour of Kangaroo Island

Our guide was Nikki and she worked hard to find places where we were likely to find the wildlife of interest with emphasis on safety for us, the wildlife and the environment. We were fortunate to not only see plenty of kangaroos and koalas in the summer—the cooler months are easier to find them out and about--but we saw sea eagles and a rare glossy black Cockatoo. Nikki is extremely knowledgeable and experienced on the species’, history of the island, environmental concerns, and current conditions, while creating a fun and jovial atmosphere. Both days of the lunches were great and the afternoon cookies and coffee were a nice treat. We all had to search for the recipe to make them at home. If you don’t want to risk waiting for a delayed flight picking up additional passengers for one or both of your days, book a private tour.

Fantastic 2 day trip to Kangaroo Island

We did the 2 day trip with Nikki as our guide. She got us up close and personal with kangaroos, wallabies, koala, echidnas, eagles, lizards, and too many birds to name. She was a wealth of knowledge on the animals, the island history, and fielded our numerous questions. She also cooked up a killer BBQ lunch. I would definitely recommend KI Hire a Guide to anyone looking to visit the island. While the 1 day trip is nice, having the second day let us not only see the island sights but also spend more time with the animals. It was also quite easy to leave the rental car on the mainland, ride the ferry over, and get dropped off back at the ferry late on the second day for the return ride.

Amazing tour

I was looking for a tour where you can see Wild Life and not some vineries or others. This tour was not easy to find and not cheap but worth every single penny. Our tour guide Nikki was amazing! She is a local and knows lot of secret spots and keen to show you as much wildlife as possible. The tour was fantastic. This tour was definitely my highlight of my Australia trip. If you are coming to the island, you need to book this tour if you wanna see wildlife.

A Memora Experience with an Exceptional Guide.

I was so very impressed with the two day tour with Nikki. Although I have experienced many very good to excellent tours in my travels, rarely have I encountered a tour guide as knowledgeable and passionate for a subject or place as Nikki is for Kangaroo Island. I booked the tour for September 2nd and 3rd, 2024 and my husband and I flew to Kangaroo on September 1st. We found we were the only persons on the tour because the ferry service, the usual way for most to reach the island, was not operating for several days. The tour was thoroughly enjoyable and the lunches, eaten outdoors, were surprisingly good. I highly recommend this tour, if possible, in a seaon when fewer people visit the island.

Outstanding Way to see KI

At first we weren’t sure if we wanted to take such an expensive tour. It turns out, it was worth every penny. With Nikki as our guide, we made all scheduled stops and some spur of the moment stops that allowed us to see the things we wanted most. Since Nikki’s home is on KI, she shared a wealth of knowledge that I don’t think we could have learned touring with a larger group. I highly recommend this two day tour from Hire A Guide. Ask for Nikki!
