Overview

Travel in a comfortable and modern 4wd to visit Seal Bay, take a stroll on the boardwalk to observe the Sea Lions sleeping on the beach, look for Koalas at Flinders Chase National Park and enjoy a gourmet BBQ lunch with KI wines (included on the package). After lunch, visit the Flinders Chase National Park, home of Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks and have a nice cup of coffee watching the the sunset at Vivonne Bay. You will have an experienced tour guide all for your group (max 8 passengers) and with their experience you will be able to observe the wildlife in their natural habitat. ***Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for cruise ship passengers arriving to the island because we will finish later than the last ship tender***

  • Seal Bay Conservation Park

    At Seal Bay CP, we will be able to admire the Sea Lions resting on the beach. The guide will take you to the beach, just a few meters from them.

  • Vivonne Bay

    Vivonne Bay was named by the members of Baudin expedition to Australia who visited the bay in January 1803. In a survey of 10,000 beaches by Professor Andrew Short, director of Sydney University's marine studies centre, the beach at Vivonne Bay was adjudged as one of the best in Australia.

    Perched above the sea in Flinders Chase National Park, the impressive Remarkable Rocks form what appear to be a cluster of precariously balanced granite boulders. This stunning work of nature has been shaped by the erosive forces of wind, sea spray and rain over some 500 million years.

  • Admirals Arch

    Admirals Arch is a natural rock arch created by amazing forces of nature. The arch is sculpted by weathering and erosion from the sea over thousands of years. Fur-seals often play among the rocks. These dark brown seals feed at sea but return to land to rest and breed.

    upplies for the nearby Cape Du Couedic Lighthouse were brought in through Weirs Cove. The supplies had to be hauled up the cliff from the jetty below through this man made cutting in the sheer cliff face. Once at the top of the cliff the supplies were stored in this store room. The front room was segregated into three separate compartments - one for each of the three families manning the lighthouse.

    Flinders Chase National Park is a protected area located at the west end of Kangaroo Island about 110 kilometres (68 miles) west of of Kingscote. It is home of the Re4markable Rocks and Admiral's Arch

    Thi 600 m. long pristine beach is located on the North Coast of Kangaroo Island and it is one of the best location for swimming on the island. Nearby we will visit a koala colony and wild kangaroos are also bundant in this area.

Get the most from your stay on Kangeroo Island

What a great experience we got to see the whole of KI with all its many wonders and wildlife. Our guide Luca was personable and informative; he certainly went the extra mile to make sure we had a great time. The BBQ lunch with wine in the nature reserve was superb. Luca taught us a lot about the island, its history and other things to do: including the best beaches. His local knowledge of the best places to find koalas in the day was invaluable. This is not the cheapest way to see the island but we totally got our monies worth. We are so glad we did this on our first day enabling us to make the most of the rest of our KI stay.

Amazing Day on Kangaroo Island

We had an amazing day exploring KI with Nikki as our guide. Nikki has a wealth of knowledge on everything to do with KI history, flora and fauna. We saw pristine beaches, landmarks, koalas, echidnas, Goana, fur seals and wallabies so much wildlife. I would highly recommend the full day Kangaroo island trip with Nikki. Thankyou for sharing your backyard with us.

5 Star KI Experience Worth Every Cent

This tour was by far one of the best we’ve ever done. We were recommended to Nikki Redman, a KI naturalist, photographer, and native who showed us all the sights and animals living on KI - a fabulous experience we would highly recommend - including a lovely Aussie barbeque lunch. Ask for Nikki - her love of the island and animals showed through the entire day!

Fabulous tour, Luca was very responsive and helpful. We booked a day tour to include Seal Bay some amazing beaches and stunning areas off the beaten track and to include all the native abundant wildlife. The whole day felt very personal and incredibly informative! All under the guidance of Nikki who not only has lived on the island most of her life, but is a wildlife photographer! With an extensive knowledge of the island, wildlife, history and just seemed to know everyone on the island! Nothing was missed and the day was packed full of Kangaroos, Koalas, Seals and one cute little Echidna.. Oh and a lovely spot was chosen for a delicious BBQ lunch.

We did two tours with Luca and Nikki. The landscapes and beaches were amazing and we could see a lot of animals (koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, echidna, seals, sea lions, pelicans…). Thanks Luca for your hospitality and food and thanks Nikki for sharing all your knowledge with us. We felt like when you visit your relatives in another country and they enjoy showing their favourite places respecting the environment. The experience in Kangaroo Island was better because of them.
