Overview

Whether you're a whisky lover or a whisky learner, you're bound to get a taste for it in the beautiful region of Speyside. Home to around 50% of all Scottish whisky distilleries, there's almost too much to see and drink. So on this tour, we help you get the most out of the region by taking you to two distinct distilleries. It’s a chance to learn about the incredible history, process, and flavours of Scotland’s national drink.

Itinerary

  • Corgarff Castle

    Here, you go for a little walk towards the Corgarff Castle, once a noble residence that in the 18th century was turned into a military base.

  • The Whisky Castle

    Next stop is the Whisky Castle for an optional tutor whisky tasting and lunch. This whisky emporium has been selling the finest malt whiskies for over 120 years and is stocking over 600 malts, so it’s a real treasure trove for whisky lovers.

  • Speyside Cooperage

    *Tour of Speyside Cooperage included in tour price Find out how casks are made at this essential attraction of the Speyside Whisky Trail.

  • Cardhu Distillery

    *Flavour Journey tour and tasting included in tour price The first distillery pioneered by a woman, Helen Cumming. Today, Cardhu is the most important whisky in Johnnie Walker’s Black Label.

A Great Way to Experience the Speyside Whisky Trail

Because there were only 5 people on our tour, our guide Chris was able to squeeze in an additional distillery stop for a wee dram! The coach was comfortable, Chris engaging, and the tasting experiences informative not to mention delicious. The trend in this is a tasting lesson at The Whisky Castle with very informative and helpful whisky expert, the Speyside Cooperage which showed the extensive and expert work that goes into repairing/recharging or making whisky barrels, and a final stop at delightful Cardhu Distillery. Every stop along the way involved friendly and helpful people who obviously love their craft. An added bonus was the scenery of the Speyside area. Worth the money!
