Overview

We take you high above the clouds up through the pine trees of the Corona Forest to the ancient landscape of the Teide volcano. We then watch the sun set over three other islands in the Canary archipelago with a glass of Cava to celebrate the everyday unique sunset. Stargazing takes place further up at a height of 2000m above sea level often above a blanket of clouds, a unique experience to have! A laser guided safari across the sky shows you constellations and relating the ancient Greek mythology behind them. To enjoy the details of the moon, planets, galaxies, nebulae and star clusters we use a 12" Dobsonian and Celestron Nexstar telescopes (what objects are visible depends on the time of the year)

Pickup details

- We collect from all hotels on or near the coast between El Médano to Los Gigantes. We do not pick up from towns inland from the main TF1 highway. We do not pickup in Costa del Silencio, Las Galletas, Palm-Mar (all in the Arona municipality) - This is not a ... dinner excursion but customers are welcome to bring snacks to eat during the tour but no eating is allowed in buses - Bookings made less than 24 hours before start time are subject to confirmation from the activity provider - Kids under 7 years are not allowed (we only have booster seats) - Please make sure to provide a contact number that is available on Whatsapp to receive information from the activity provider (be aware that pick-up and meeting times change accordingly to the sunset time during the year!) - If you want to know the valid cancellation policy in case of bad weather, contact us! Itinerary

You will be picked up from one of the listed pick up points near to your accommodation in the South of Tenerife and taken up to a viewpoint to watch the sunset over the islands of La Palma La Gomera and El Hierro. Celebrate this unique experience with the sun shining through a glass of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine) we provide! After sunset, we will transfer to another viewpoint in the Teide National Park for stargazing. To enjoy the details of the visible objects, we use a 12" Dobsonian telescope. Depending on the time of the year, you will see: ✩ the Moon, which will be our main focus the days before full moon ✩ beautiful galaxies, nebulae and star clusters such as the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters in the constellation of Taurus (in winter). We use laser pointers to show you and explain the names and the constellations, how to find Polaris, the North Star, how to find the Andromeda galaxy and learn some Greek mythology. We will take photos of the guests individually using astrophotography techniques that show the blanket of stars above you. Finally, we will take you back to your hotel with great memories!

Great evening - would recommend

We were messaged day before pick up to confirm and then they n day of pick up. We were kept up to date on time of bus pick up - running late. We were in small minibus with 6 others - small party. 30 minutes drive and we arrived at the sunset viewing point - drinks on arrival and a magnificent sunset. Back in minibus for 10 minutes and we arrived at the stargazing site. Jamie was our fantastic host/ guide. He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We saw a variety of stars and planets. It is cold so dress in layers - I had hat and gloves on. Would thoroughly recommend!

Amazing trip, Teide at night was very special. The trip was well organised and the guide very knowledgeable. Possibly the sunset stop would have been more spectacular with the sun fading into the sea but that's a small quibble.

Such a great experience, the sights, sunset and stars were amazing. The tour guides were so accommodating and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend and return myself too.

An amazing experience, highly recommended! I spent a long time comparing the different companies offering this experience and am so glad I chose this one. The minibus pickup was on time and with only one other couple the journey nice and quick, we met with the rest of the group a the meeting point. They contacted on the day via WhatsApp to give an accurate pickup time. Although it was too cloudy for a clear sunset, when went higher to the stargazing point, the colours were amazing! As it darkened and the stars were beautifully clear, I was blown away by the knowledge of our fantastic guides, Jaime and the friendly Australian (sorry I can't remember his name!)

Absolutely amazing evening. A lot of money for what it was but worth it. Jaime was very knowledgeable about the stars etc and was able to answer questions fully.
