An unbeatable combination! Spend the day exploring the unknown Algarve in our jeeps and enjoying a relaxing cruise along the river Arade! Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the river Arade. As you cruise along the river you can enjoy the lush scenery, the soothing sound of birdsong, the river wildlife and the hypnotic lapping of the water against the boat. Then it’s time to enjoy a fantastic Safari! Let us take you off the beaten track and into the heart of the Algarve! In a convoy of jeeps, we travel up hills and down dales, crossing streams and traversing meadows. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and pure air as we travel along earthen tracks. Learn about the different flora and fauna and see some of the old customs still in practice - the traditional way of making of honey and distilling of medronho - a very potent local drink which you will have the chance to sample. Lunch is provided in a typical restaurant. Please note: depending on tidal conditions, the programme may be inverted.

Great Tour!

Our tour guide was fantastic. Fun and informative! We loved the bee keeper and distillery stop. Countryside was beautiful.

Our guide Louis was very friendly and informative. The boat trip was exhilarating and fun. We were a convoy of three jeeps. The ride bumpy at times took us zigzagging up the mountain. Stopping now and then to admire the view and learn about the flora and fauna. The lunch piripiri chicken was a bit basic but as it was the included in the price it was just about okay. The interaction between the drivers was great, it’s clear they’re all good friends. We enjoyed the firewater and honey stop. All in all a great day out.

Ricardo our guide/driver shared with us all he knew about the area accommodating us in every way possible. He made sure we all enjoyed smelling the leaves of the fruit. He was witty and made everybody feel comfortable with his safe driving. Thank you Ricardo for a lovely enjoyable day especially it being my birthday

what a nice complete tour with a jeep and a boat. You will be picked up by Jeep and taken to the boat to sail on the Arade River, along the quays of Portimão. Lots of explanations and interesting facts about different elements that can be seen, all told in a fun way by our guide Ricardo. Then we get into a jeep and drive off-road, what fun, to the highest mountain here in the Algarve. We come across oranges, lemons, figs, eucalyptus and all kinds of herbs along the road. We also come across mother Partridge with a lot of mini chicks. We eat puri piri and taste a small glass of Aguardente de Medronho (Medronho fire water), a liqueur made from the Arbutus Fruit Strawberry Tree. Then our very knowledgeable driver/guide also knows all about cork. It really is a very complete fun accessible tour.

A great day out with an excellent knowledgeable driver/guide. Only disappointment was the lunch, acceptable but not nearly as good as the lunch stop on other tours with this company
