Essaouira is one of the best places to learn surfing, the spot of Essaouira beach is an exposed beach break which has quite reliable surf and works anytime of the year. you will have all the Equipements needed. we will have 10 minutes of exercices in order to warm the muscles, including teaching you the principles of surfing, the take-off on the board which is how to catch and stand on the surf board . later on continue with instructing you in the water until you will be able to catch the wave and ride.. this is a 100% surfing and chilling experience.

Great experience for beginners

Would highly recommend to anyone looking to surf in Essaouira. We had a group of 5 beginners, and by the end of the 2-hour lesson, everyone was standing and confident enough to surf again without a lesson! Rusty communicated well and walked us over to the shop, and our instructor was patient and encouraging. They also made sure to take lots of action shots and videos!

Amazing surf school. We went as a couple and had such a friendly and welcoming instructor in Anass. Even though it was the first time we’ve ever surfed, the lesson was really informative and we got into the waves really quickly and was able ride waves comfortably by within two hours. The beach is lovely, the surf school is a 5 minute walk to the sea and they serve fresh mint tea whilst you wait (on the house). Cannot wait to go again.

I visited Essaouira Watersports in early October and had a really wonderful time. I am very new to surfing, and learnt in a small class with two others. This beach is a great place to learn if you're a beginner! My instructor was Anass and he was wonderful, so helpful and friendly. He showed us the basics while on the beach, and in the sea he helped us to catch some good waves. I had a great time surfing in Essaouira and I hope to come back one day!

We booked in for a 2hour beginner surf lesson on 5th Dec 2024 and we had Ayoub as out teacher he was excellent at explaining everything and we were soon in the water up on our boards. We loves it so much we hired out the surf boards and wetsuits the next day for 3 hours. The whole team were very friendly and flexible, explaining when the tide was at its best and the best time to catch some good waves. We had such a good time and would definitely recommend these guys to book with. Would definitely go again!! Lockers and showers available which made things a lot easier!
