Thermal Valley: Also known as "Hell Valley," this natural hot spring is one of the sources of Beitou's hot springs. Admire the steam rising from the emerald green water, creating a unique and mystical atmosphere.
Yangmingshan National Park (Qingtiangang Grassland, Lengshuikeng Trail, Xiaoyoukeng) Duration: ~3.5 hours Yangmingshan National Park is located in the north of Beitou. Yangmingshan was called Caoshan (Grass Mountain) during Japanese occupation of Taiwan, because it was covered with grass and seldom visited. After World War II, the KMT government renamed the mountain Yangmingshan and built a park here. Yangmingshan National Park is the only park in Taiwan that has volcanic geography and hot springs. It is next to Shamao Mountain and Qixing Mountain with Datun Mountain on the right and Guanyin Mountain in front.

A fantastic day out, a really enjoyable trip to see some sights outside of Taipei. Despite the bad weather (rain and winds), we made the most of it - the fog in the mountains was rather serene. The hot springs are beautiful and Tamsui is a lovely port town. We had extra time so made a stop at Fort San Domingo, which was super interesting. Johnson was an excellent guide - thanks again for a memorable last day in Taiwan!

Trip has happened from my Taiwanese friends recommend it this company for car service with driver. Beito is a beautiful view and natura, Yangmingshan is my lover place on this trip. I am suggesting everyone go north of Taipei or new Taipei to travelling. Please try to save time to travelling best way is car rental TST service.
