Half day city tour to visit the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki with its gold and silver treasures and many other finds of the area of Central Macedonia, the famous UNESCO monument of the Rotonda, walk by the White Tower, the Roman Forum and the Arch of Galerius and visit the basilika of St. Demetrios, patron saint of the city. Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki

Visit the most famous collection of treasures from antiquity in the city, named "The Gold of Macedon" to admire great artifacts of gold, silver and bronze in a privately guided visit. The museum has the biggest collection of gold wreaths from the 6th - 4th c. B.C. exhibited in the whole of Greece. Admission fee is 8 EUR per person

Church of Saint Dimitrios - Patron of Thessaloniki

This is the most important early Christian church of the city and one of the oldest and largest in Greece, dedicated to the city's parton saint, Dimitrios.

The watch tower which bacame the most famous landmark of the city is located by the sea promenade and it was part of the city's fortification walls. We make a photo stop there to hear about the Whote Tower story

Immersion in the history of Greece with fl

We booked the tour spontaneously at the request of our 9 year old son. And we want to express our deep gratitude to Efi. She has a deep knowledge of the history of her city, region and country and despite the terrible heat wave we spent 4 unforgettable hours with her. If you are looking for one of the fun modern guides, Efi is probably not for you. But if you want to get acquainted with the history and myths of the city and the region - Efi is very good at this. Special thanks for the gifted book about the history of one of the islands, authored by Efi - great fun for my son on the trip.

While my wife was planning our trip to Greece she came across the Official Thessaloniki Guide website. Since we were interested in a walking tour of Thessaloniki we contacted Efi Kalapoukidou for her guided tour of the city. Not only this tour but we booked her for Dion, Verghina and Pella. Being in Thessaloniki with Efi was amazing, she is very informative and shared with us the hidden gems of Thessaloniki, walking through the market was incredible and having lunch at a local Tavern was the best experience ever.
