Fabulous. We had a terriffic time despite having no previous experience of sumo, this has been a real inspiration. Watching the whole session from warm up, through drills, then pretty full-on bouts and finally warm down, while huge bowls of food were prepared for the wrestlers, was fascinating. The seating arrangements were not ideal - those in the front of the four rows had a great veiw, and those in the last row were fine as we could stand... might have been hard to see for those in row three. But... this is a great trip.

All went smoothly. Great to see the rikishi doing their thing - a mix of stretching and repetitive exercises, and practice bouts. We were in the back row, but despite what was said at the outset no-one seemed to mind us standing, so we had a good view. We were given a sheet with the names and photos of the members of the stable so we could identify some of them. There was a group photo opportunity at the end with the rikishi, and afterwards we were able to chat to the youngest one (who had good English - and looked from his bouts like a great future prospect!) outside the building.

We had the tour on the 10th of October at 8.30 and our guide was excellent. She shared very interesting Information about Sumo Wresteling and was very kind and capable & answered all questions we had very well. We very much can recommend her as a guide.
