    Stop At: Bai Dinh Pagoda, Gia Sinh, Ninh Binh Province This vast expanse of religious monuments, completed in 2014, is Vietnam's largest Buddhist complex. Highlights include a 40-ton (36-tonne) bell, a 32-foot (10-meter) Buddha, a 13-storey pagoda, and an avenue lined with 500 statues. You'll break for an included lunch at 12:30pm – your chance to sample local specialties including goat meat. Duration: 2 hours Stop At: Trang An Grottoes, Ninh Binh, Ninh Binh Province It's about half an hour's drive to the Trang An eco-tourism complex, and its staggering UNESCO-listed karst landscapes, replete with secret grottoes, towering peaks, and tranquil streams. Relax on a boat trip through Trang An's spectacular network of caves, archways, and grottoes, including Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, and Sinh Cave. Alternate between darkness and light as you experience stunning views of the mainland's answer to Halong Bay. It's a 2-hour journey back to Hanoi, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel around 6:30-7:30pm.

Great trip and definitely worth doing if visiting Tam Coc!

What a brilliant day trip including the boat trip through the three caves. Our boat woman was skilled, fun and delightful. We were lucky to go the 1000m cave with no boats ahead of us: very special.

The tour was really good. Xui was a great guide and we enjoyed his jokes. The Budist complex was spectacular, do not miss it.

We did the route 3 boat tour, which goes through 2 caves and stops at multiple pagodas. The route took just under 3 hours in total. The scenery is spectacular and going by boat is an ideal way to take it all in. Just make sure to put on plenty of sun cream if it's a sunny day.

This is a full day! First up is the pagoda which is a huge complex- you could easily spend an entire day here. Very peaceful and beautiful. Next was a nice buffet lunch and after that the boat ride on the river and through the caves. Another beautiful and peaceful place in spite of the number of boats in the water. You can help row if you choose to but it’s not required. Our final stop was at another small pagoda.
