Itinerary

  • Vatican Museums

One of the richest and most representative museums in the world. It would take weeks or maybe months to visit it completely and exhaustively. Rich in statues, paintings, sarcophagi, mosaics collected by the Popes since the Renaissance. It was the famous Pope Julius II who began, with his private collection, what would become an enormous concentration of artworks. The Sistine chapel is the real reason why thousands of people flock to museums every year to admire Michelangelo Buonarroti's masterpieces: The Last Judgment and The Genesis. You will see Michelangelo's marble masterpiece: La Pietà. The Basilica will surprise you with its majesty and rich decorations. The Guide will be at your complete disposal in order to fulfill your desire for more information. At the end of the tour you will meet your driver again and continue the tour as scheduled or return to the hotel.

    2 hours

  • Sistine Chapel

Built by Sixtus IV, from which it takes its name (Sistine Chapel) at the end of the fifteenth century, it is the pictorial representation of the old and new testament performed by the most important painters such as Perugino, Girlandaio, Botticelli to finish with Michelangelo's masterpiece. Inside the "Cappella Magna" so called to stigmatize the religious and political importance of the place, it is not possible to speak, take photos or videos. Your private guide will give you the time necessary to appreciate the quality of the rich decoration. You will after enter through the door that will take you inside St. Peter's Basilica.

    30 minutes

  • St. Peter's Square

The most famous baroque square in the world where during the conclave the crowd waits impatiently to see for the first time the face of the new Pope. Bernini's colonnade represents the ideal embrace of Peter towards the faithful who have come for centuries to pray on his tomb. In the center one of the most ancient Egyptian obelisks which in ancient Rome was located in the center of the circus of Emperor Nero. Your private tour comes to an end hoping that you enjoyed our tour and to see you again soon in Italy.

    10 minutes

  • Colosseum

The Colosseum in Rome was the largest and most advanced amphitheatre the ancient world had ever seen. It is the main symbol of Rome. The famous Roman amphitheater was built between A.D. 70 and 72 by the emperor Vespasian and hosted events like gladiatorial and hunting games.

    1 hour

  • Piazza del Campidoglio

The Capitoline Hill is the smallest and most important of the seven hills of Ancient Rome. As the political and religious heart of Rome the hill became a symbol of Rome's reign as the capital of the world. From the top of the Capitol your guide will show you the wonders of ancient Rome represented by the ruins of the Roman Forum, the largest monumental area in the world. A breathtaking view where you can take incredible photos to bring home the best memories of the Eternal City. A vast expanse of ruins of temples, basilicas and triumphal arches symbol of the power of Rome through the first thirteen centuries of Roman rule over almost all of Europe.

    10 minutes

  • Circo Massimo (Pass By)

    10 minutes

  • Spanish Steps

The famous staircase of Rome. Its 135 steps connect Piazza di Spagna with the church above Piazza Trinità dei Monti. Built in the eighteenth century by Francesco de Santis today it is the place of shopping and ritual photos in front of the famous Bernini fountain located at the base of the staircase.

    10 minutes

  • Piazza Venezia / Ancient City (Pass By)

Piazza Venezia is the central hub of Rome, Italy, in which several thoroughfares intersect, including the Via dei Fori Imperiali and the Via del Corso. It takes its name from the Palazzo Venezia, built by the Venetian Cardinal, Pietro Barbo alongside the church of Saint Mark, the patron saint of Venice.

  • Pantheon

The construction of the first Patheon dates back to 25BC by Marco Agrippa, an important Roman general and son-in-law of the Emperor Augustus. After 150 years the Emperor Hadrian rebuilds it in the same place and in the form that we can still admire today. After almost two thousand years we can still visit the ancient building and its incredible open dome. Since the beginning of the seventh century the Pantheon has been transformed into a church, the Basilica of Santa Maria ad Martyres. A unique monument in the world, not to be missed even if you have already visited the Eternal City.

    15 minutes

  • Fontana di Trevi

The most beautiful and the most famous fountain in the world, symbol of the incomparable beauty of the Rome of the Popes. The fountain is located at the junction of three roads and more specifically it is built upon the ‘terminal point’ of the Acqua Virgo, one of Rome’s most important aqueducts that transports drinking water to the Eternal City. All the HIGHLIGHTS of Rome - Worth it!!

Published on Aug, 2024

Family of 5: 2 adults, 3 teenage boys. We visited Rome in 100 degree heat with only 1 day (from cruise ship). The driver was punctional, friendly, ready for us with a sign right when we got off the ship. The van was comfortable and had AC! The driver drove us around safely and was there at the end of each stop with AC running which was greatly appreciated!!! The tour guide was entertaining, knowledgeable and showed us all the highlights of Rome!!! We would have NEVER been able to see all the highlights without him!!!! The tour was expensive but worth it if you are on a limited schedule. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour if you are coming in from a cruise and have limited time. This tour will take you to EVERYTHING you want to see. Book it!!

When in Rome!

Such an amazing tour for our family. Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable about all historical aspects of the tour. We got a taste of Rome in the short time we were there and it was great!

A great tour. Well worth it.

This tour is fantastic. We were met by Steffan precisely at 0730, at the exit from our ship. The vehicle was great, a Merc van that sat 9. We picked up our guide, Maria in town and still had some time to spare before getting started. We stopped by an intimate Cafe and had coffee and pastries, while discussing our itinerary. Steffan did a great job navigating traffic and moving us between sites. Maria was so knowledgeable about everything, but didn't overdue it. She spent just the right amount of time at various locations, providing lots of history and details. We moved through crowds easily, despite lots of foot traffic and vehicle traffic. We'd been to the Coloseum before and did the self guided tour. This was so much better and we learned and saw so much more. Maria and Steffan communicated seamlessly, with Steffan always pulling up close to each venue to pick us up. This limited a lot of the walking, and allowed us to see way more things compared to trying to move around on your own. We were unlucky with the date our ship stopped in Rome, being June 29th, a Christian holiday, so the Vatican, SP Bascilica, etc were closed. We made the most of it, spending a little more time than probably normal at each site. After sites, we were taken a bit outside of town to an amazing restaurant, where the host met us outside and immediately directed us to our table. For 23 euro each, then then brought at least 10 small plates of various apps, a pizza, two different pasta servings, a full carafe of wine, and lemon cello. It was delicious, and well deserved as we did a lot of walking. We made it back to port with time to spare. We'll worth the price and an all the way around great tour and experience.

Rome in a day

The guide was very informative. There is so much to see but he kept us moving and explained everything. It was worth the money. The lunch was outstanding, so much food!

Nico and Tanya were Amazing!!

Published on Jun, 2024

We followed Nico around Rome (family of 4 adults). He always knew exactly where he was going, got us through the crowds like they weren’t even there. He was so knowledgeable and we learned so much. It was like he was part of our family. We saw everything we wanted and things we didn’t know we wanted to see but were oh so glad we did. He took us to an amazing Italian place for lunch. We were not disappointed. The Driver Tanya was always there the minute we walked out of a place. She is an amazing driver, drove through crowded Rome traffic like it was a Sunday drive. Amazing! This tour is worth every penny! Highly recommended!!
