Overview

Our tour takes a unique approach to tours in St. Augustine. We limit our groups smaller to create a more personal experience. Our certified guides offer the most experienced and entertaining historical narrative of the city of St. Augustine, locations of historic events and the citizens who helped create and maintain the oldest city in the nation. We will cover the founding of the city, the first Spanish period (1565-1763), the British Period (1763-1784), the second Spanish period (1784-1821), the American territorial period (1821-1845), and the Flagler Era (Gilded Age, 1884-1913). This is a walking tour which covers a 1.7 mile route over the 90 minutes of the experience. It takes place during the day in Florida, so plan accordingly. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, sunscreen and maybe an umbrella as well. There will be restrooms available at the beginning, end, and at the midway point as well. This is the perfect tour for the history enthusiast!

Kevin Rose is one of the best tour guides we have ever had and we have been on tours in many cities. He was very knowledgeable and engaging; the time just flew by. His tour was a wonderful look at the history of St. Augustine with a nice sprinkling of architecture as well. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

Awesome tour, during and after

Kevin’s tour was an absolute delight. We (group of 6 friends) took the history tour and it did not disappoint. Kevin told us early on that it was a 90 minute tour but that he would probably go over that limit - we could feel free to peel off if needed, no hard feelings. Two and a half hours later, we had so many questions answered! I’m sure you will read other reviews telling you what a great tour this was, but let me tell you that the “after-tour” is also pretty cool! Kevin told us that we could text him later with further questions or to ask for recommendations. A couple hours after the tour (when we were sitting at a lunch spot he recommended) we asked for a locale for a specific reunion activity. He provided one. The next day, we saw Kevin out and about and he asked if his recommendation was on point. How cool! He remembered us! That’s a quality guide, folks. Thanks, Kevin!
