  • Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzman

    Our first stop will be at the impressive Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, one of the architectural jewels of the city. This temple has an impressive baroque façade and its interior is adorned with fine pieces of art and golden altarpieces.

  • Andador de Macedonia Alcala

    Then, we will walk down the picturesque Macedonio Alcalá street, famous for its popular art shops and local handicrafts, until we reach the Plaza de la Constitución, also known as the Zócalo.

  • Teatro Macedonio de Alcala

    We will observe the Macedonio Alcalá Theater. It was inaugurated in 1909 and its architectural design combines neoclassical and art nouveau elements.

  • Catedral Metropolitana de Oaxaca Nuestra Señora de la Asunción

    The Oaxaca Cathedral is an impressive church built in the 16th century in the historic center of the city. Its baroque façade and its interior decorated with beautiful paintings and religious sculptures stand out. In addition, it houses an important collection of sacred art and offers a spectacular view of the city from its tower. It is a must see for those interested in the history and colonial architecture of Mexico.

    Here you can enjoy the lively and colorful atmosphere of the city while watching the street performers and enjoying the delicious local cuisine.

  • Mercado Benito Juarez

    We will continue our tour to the Benito Juárez Market, where you will find a wide variety of local products, from textiles and handicrafts to fresh food and delicious typical dishes. Here you can enjoy a delicious tlayuda, a typical dish of the region that is prepared with a large tortilla, beans, meat, cheese and other ingredients, after the tour. The use of face masks is mandatory to enter the market.

    We will visit the market on November 20, where you can find food and the famous "Pasillo de humo", restaurants, bakeries and a wide variety of Oaxacan food. The use of face masks is mandatory to enter.

Churches galore

My daughter and I did this trip together. It's a private tour to see 3 churches but is so much more. Our guide and driver accommodated our every want. We stopped to eat, learn about the local native flower, shopped at a market, visited an extra church and went to a local hot pools. Whatever we wanted. Our guide was knowledgeable and he answered all our questions. His English was great so there were no communication problems. We loved this full day out and would highly recommend.
