"We had a wonderful day doing a private tour with BL Heritage Tours today. Our party consisted of a family of 7 people, including 2 seniors, 3 adults, and 2 children aged 8 and 5. Our tour guide, Leonardo, was incredibly friendly, funny, informative, and an excellent driver. As we closed the evening out with our kids, they both asked if we could repeat the tour and that they wanted to hang out with Leonardo again. We started the day with Leo picking us up at our Airbnb, and he drove us 1.5 hours to the Douro Valley. He stopped at a few scenic places where we could get out, stretch our legs, and take photos of the gorgeous valley. Despite the cloudy day, we could just imagine how much more majestic the area would be with the sun shining down along the dips and layers of the valley. Our kids really enjoyed the boat ride along the Douro River; they loved the lovely spread of snacks. The boat tour truly felt very private as we were the only ones on the river. Our wine tasting stop was wonderful, and the place we stopped for lunch was simply lovely and delicious. We love the fact the places we were taken to were small family owned businesses where they still process wine or cook food "the old fashioned way". We left the Douro Valley feeling full, satisfied, and very tipsy. At our lunch, we saw other parties that were also on their own BL Heritage tours, and you could tell everyone else was also enjoying their tours. BL Heritage Tours has done a wonderful job creating a tour that is enjoyable for people of all ages. Leo, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a wonderful day. P.S. Our kids want to ask Leo, "Whatever happened to the quiz?" Our son said he wants Leo to quiz him the next time he sees him."

We had a fantastic tour of Quinta de Foz winery, a beautiful one hour boat tour on the Douro river, and a delicious lunch… with wine Wine WINE every step of the way. Our tour guide, Rita, was the BEST! Smart, funny, and very knowledgeable, and she spoke perfect English! It was great day. Highly recommend.

We had a great time on this tour! Our tour was operated by BL Heritage Tours which is a local company based out of Porto- I would highly recommend their group. Our guide, Jose, was knowledgable, friendly and informative. Everyone we encountered during our tour was excellent. We had a lovely meal, snacks, a great boat ride, and obviously, a lot of wine. Over the course of they day, we learned not only about the winemaking process but some of the history of Portugal as well. I was pleased that there was a variety of wine offered throughout they day. We had toured a port cellar in Porto earlier in our trip, so I was afraid there might a lot of overlap, but this was definitely its own, unique experience! The wineries we visited had a smaller, family vibe, and I really liked that aspect of the tour was well.

Fun day with visits to small local producers and had a fantastic lunch with a local family. Amazing boat tour along the river with delicious snacks and drinks.

BL Heritage Tours was incredible. After my booking and prior to my tour, the communication was excellent. During my tour, Leandro was extremely knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around and get to know more. As a Douro Valley local, we were lucky to have him as our guide. The river private boat tour was super cute and well done, with cava, port, and charcuterie to enjoy. And the family lunch experience was the jewel of the experience. What an amazing day! And so much Port to bring home. Thank you!
