Embark on a fascinating journey with Skyrail. Glide metres above the pristine jungle canopy before descending to explore the rainforest close up. After some free time in Kuranda, embark on your journey back to Cairns via Kuranda Scenic Railway, the original rail journey to Kuranda.   • Great Barrier Reef

    Evolution departs Cairns daily, with five hours spent visiting two spectacular Outer Great Barrier Reef locations - Hastings Reef, Saxon Reef or Norman Reef. Evolution is a large 35-metre catamaran with three spacious deck spaces to lounge in comfort. Experience one of the wonders of the natural world up close and personal snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef (included). Dial up the adventure and add a scuba dive or scenic helicopter flight (extra costs apply, speak to reservations after booking). Enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch cooked onboard with a variety of salads, breads (special dietary requirements catered for too). As well as a complimentary glass of wine, cheese and biscuits on the return journey.

    Embark on a fascinating journey of discovery with Skyrail Rainforest Cableway over and deep into Australia’s Wet Tropics World Heritage Area which has survived against all odds to become the home of the world’s oldest rainforest story.     Then, take the Kuranda Scenic Railway back down to Cairns. This scenic rail is the original scenic rail journey to Kuranda. Travel over bridges and through tunnels hand-made by North Queensland’s pioneers over 100 years ago. Traversing the World Heritage listed rainforest of the Barron Gorge National Park this is one of the world’s great railway journeys.

  • Dives can be purchased direct with the operator prior to travel (additional cost)
  • Check-in is from 7.15am at Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Please make your way to the Down Under Cruise and Dive counter to check-in. Boat departs 8.00am sharp.
  • If you choose to add a scuba dive (extra cost), please note: all divers are required to complete a Medical Questionnaire. In a commitment to the safety of our guests, divers over 65 years must have a medical clearance with a physician the confirms they are Fit To Dive. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and ANY prescription medications will require a letter or email from a doctor clearing you to dive. This clearance must state your full name, the doctor's name and practice and the clearance to dive for the specific medications/condition. Please review the operators Medical Questionnaire and Terms & Conditions prior to travel.
  • If you choose to add a scuba dive (extra cost), please note: Diving within 24 hours before your flight is not permitted.
  • Please choose your Reef Day as the first day of your booking. Once booked, please contact the tour operator once booked to choose your Skyrail/Rail Day.

Amazing trip

Had a magnificent time on the great barrier reef tour. Sally and Eddie were amazing and very helpful while the photos taken by Shannon were outstanding and will remind us of the trip for years to come. Thank you guys for making the trip so amazing. Would highly recommend this as the best way to see what Cairns has to offer in a short time.

We had an absolutely great day at the reef, the crew was excellent and very professional, the 2 dive sites were excellent and there alwas enough time spent on each the site. The semi aubmersible boat tour was my favourite, it was just a great way to see the reef and njoi it.... Highly recommended ...

Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda Train and Skyrail were all a fantastic experience. Definitely worth doing. The boat tour was very well organized, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic. Suggestion: take cash with you for add-on’s while onboard (ie: motion sickness meds, drinks, extra excursions, photos) The Kuranda day you are on your own (no tour guide) with just times of transportation on your ticket. You are free to explore what you wish while in Kuranda. It would be something I would do again.
