This is good way to kill time when you have a layover throughout the midnight, and it will let you fully stretch your legs between two long flights. This private layover tour is customized to your needs and allows you to hike on the authentic Great Wall with a lake at bottom, and you have chance to taste local food in a local restaurant with reasonable price (pay extra) if time permit based on your layover time. Airport pick-up and drop-off services are included. Note: Making such trips possible,your layover time has to be at least 13 hours or longer (between two flights).

Itinerary

Great Wall at Huanghuacheng

You will start your tour from Beijing capital airport or a nearby hotel in the afternoon. Then you will be taken to the wild Great Wall in northen Beijing. It also called lake side Great Wall with orchards on mountains. Tour guide will pay the entrance and then walk with you to the top of the wall to watch the beautiful sunset. You can easily find a nice place for taking photos without disturbed by others because less tourist there. Very peaceful when you enjoy the beautiful sunset. Later on, we will escort you back to airport or your hotel. Lovely tour ends! Note: You will just do a regular Great Wall tour if the weather would not be clear.

Bucket list, ticked but we’ll be back

We landed at 4.30am, and had previously arranged to meet Tony @ 6.40am, but when we exited arrivals at 6am Tony was already there, great start and the day only got better. Tony was very informative & engaging, my 3 girls quizzed him relentlessly for the duration for the tour. We were on the wall for about 2.5hrs & then dropped back to the airport at midday, we couldn’t have been happier with the whole experience. I would definitely recommend the sunrise tour, it exceeded our expectations, and the excursion (6 hrs) only convinced me that next time we’ll layover for a few days, thanks Tony.

Breathtaking private tour

Worth EVERY penny! Jessica was an amazing tour guide - she really wanted to understand what I was interested in so she could make sure I had the best possible experience. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the fantastic driver, but he did amazing job making sure I felt safe during the rush hour traffic. Tony the tour coordinator even help facilitate a last minute (late night!) change in pick up/drop off. My only complaint is that my layover was too short - I will 100% be returning and can't wait to book with this group again. Stop researching, you've found the right place here =)

Fantastic morning at Huanghuacheng Great Wall

Tony was fantastic to deal with, I had great service with very prompt responses to my inquiries and concerns. The booking process was simple and the price very reasonable for a party of two ($250). We arrived at the wall just as the sun was beginning to rise, and we were lucky the air was clear and the sky had few clouds. The climb to the wall was not difficult for someone with average ability. There were no other people there on that morning, so we could climb up and down parts of the wall with no interruptions. Absolutely an amazing adventure, packed into just a few short hours.
