We booked this trip because my mom has mobility issues and my brother has cancer and significant mobility issues - therefore a "hop-on/hop-off trolley" would not be doable. Plus, once we compared the prices of the trolley vs. the private tour - it was not much more money...but ended up be much more valuable!! Our tour guide, Sameer, was absolutely wonderful! He was knowledgeable, flexible, and catered to our every request. He even let us design the tour around what we really wanted to see and do! I highly recommend a private tour - and it will be the only way I see DC going forward.
