Your friendly tour guide will meet you at your hotel in Beijing in the morning. You will firstly visit Tiananmen Square, the largest public square of this kind in the world. The visit here allows you to have a glimpse at the outside of Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the magnificent Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, the ancient Zhengyang Gate and Arrow Tower as well as the Tiananmen Tower which leads to the well-known Forbidden City.

Then move on to the Imperial Palace, also known as the "Forbidden City", the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces group with 500 years history. The palace was built between 1406 and 1420, but was burnt down, rebuilt, sacked and renovated countless times, so most of the architecture you can see today dates from the 1700's and onwards.

After lunch, continue to visit Temple of Heaven, the place where the Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. It is located in the southern part of Beijing, and had been one of the most holy places for the whole country for more than five centuries. It used as a complex of sacrificial buildings for the Ming and Qing emperors.

Proceed to the Summer Palace, one of China's largest imperial garden. Summer Palace was originally a royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for emperors of Qing Dynasty. Stroll around the garden for couple of hours to enjoy the beautiful scenery. At the end, you will transferred back to your hotel.

I had an amazing experience on this tour visiting the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, and Summer Palace in Beijing. The itinerary was well-planned, covering all the key historical and cultural sites. Our guide, Maggie, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to answer questions. She provided great insights into the history and significance of each site, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. Everything was well-organized, and transportation was smooth. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore Beijing’s most iconic landmarks with a great guide. Definitely worth it!
Fantastic way to visit the key attractions in Beijing

What a fabulous day. Wendy (our guide) and Mr Wang (our driver) took us on an 8 hour private tour of the key sites of Beijing. Interesting, funny and very knowledgeable, Wendy talked us through the histories and stories of each site and of Beijing in general. If you have a limited time in Beijing and want to visit some of the key attractions, I would recommend this tour

Jeffrey was an amazing guide, he is so sweet and knowledgeable about Beijing’s rich history. This was my first time in China, and I wanted the experience to be memorable for me and my wife. He kept the schedule very relaxed, didn’t rush us or make us feel like we were in a time crunch. He also told us some fun stories in past tours and historical anecdotes that added to our experience. My wife also appreciated that he assisted us with photos and recommended us little known spots to take them. It was a packed day but it really didn’t feel so and I would definitely book other trips like the Great Wall with him again.

Lucy was our leader for the day. One could not ask for a more ideal guide. She was a walking encyclopedia; which, as history buff, I appreciated much. English crystal clear and fluent. Very efficient and professional. Thank you Lucy!
Perfect all-rounder day tour

As first timers to Beijing, this was the perfect day tour for my family and I. The tour gave great insight to the forbidden city, temple of heaven and summer palace. In between we visited a lovely tea shop and enjoyed a tea ceremony. Lunch was at a local restaurant and food portions were plentiful. Our tour guide Lucy was excellent. She was very down-to-earth and spoke fluent English. She clearly explained the historical and cultural significance of each landmark we visited. Beijing in winter is quite cold and this tour required a bit of walking but she made sure we were comfortable and adjusted the pace to meet our needs. Last but not least, our driver was reliable and punctual. He drove safely and picked us up at the perfect time. Highly recommend this tour.
