Archaeological Site of Olympia

Explore one of the most glorious sanctuaries of the ancient world in Ancient Olympia. See the birthplace of the Olympic Games. with a pre-booked entry ticket. Stroll around the remains of temples and admire the Temple of Zeus, the largest one in the Peloponnese. Next, visit one of the oldest monumental temples in Greece, The Temple of Hera. Explore the hippodrome, wrestling school, stadium and gymnasium where Olympic athletes trained. Continue to the archaeological museum that presents the long history of the most-celebrated sanctuary of antiquity: the sanctuary of Zeus. Conclude your visit with a stop at The Museum of the History of the Olympic Games in Olympia. Learn the important history of the Olympic Games and hosts findings related to the period when the ancient games took place

This ticket is for travelers over 25 years. The reduced-price tickets are not available online
Infants aged 0-5, and EU citizens under 25 receive free admission upon providing their ID at the ticket booth at the Acropolis site. Non-EU citizens under 25 receive a reduced-price entry (April-October) upon providing their ID at the ticket booth.
Important note: Only for the entrance to the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Olympia, you do need to choose a specific time and day of visit. For the archaeological site of ancient Olympia and the Museum of History of the Olympic Games, you can enter anytime you wish, strictly on the selected date of your booking.

It is an awesome place to visit. Paths are very easy to explore and have lots of people in the area to make sure tourists are not touching or climbing in the ruins. The museum was beautiful

Excellent site and museum. Enjoy much more than the Vatican. Beware when they scan your ticket to enter museum, it then shows used and you can’t get into archaeological site unless you go to ticket booth and stab in line to get a hand ticket after much wasted time.

We went very early. We were in the first group to enter and were able to avoid heavy crowds. Our tickets were purchased before arriving there. The site is breathtaking but is a moderate to heavy walking activity. The heat was a killer. Literally you are wringing wet when done. You must wear sunscreen, light clothing, a hat, and drink tons of water.

User friendly website. The only issue we had was the weak internet connection in Olympia Greece, but it all worked out. Next time I will download the tickets in advance.
