Our Award-winning tour, we welcome you on board with us at Aquascene, we will share with you some beautiful places you won't find on your own. Experience a magical connection with some of Magnetic Island's history. We bring the shipwreck "City of Adelaide" to life as we share her enchanting story and how she came to rest on the shoreline of Magnetic Island.

Meeting points

Meet in front of Peppers Resort (Nelly Bay-Magnetic Island) on the outside deck area, a short 1 minute walk to the left of the Nelly Bay ferry terminal. You will see our Aquascene sign located on the boardwalk area and our friendly Aquascene crew will meet you there and escort you to our boat.

Our AWARD WINNING Sunset & Shipwreck tour is a 2 hour scenic tour focusing on the coastal area between Nelly Bay and Cockle Bay on Magnetic Island. Our destination is the SS "City of Adelaide" shipwreck where her story will be shared as you enjoy the sunset, birdlife and a magical experience you will never forget. Scenery, birdlife, stories, local art and history all in the one beautiful tour.

The crew were amazing, friendly and informative. Morning tea was good and they supplied water. Would recommend taking some snacks though. The tour itself was phenomenal, the boat is comfortable and half a day is perfect. The snorkelling was so good, we saw lots of sea life and coral. We would highly recommend.

Beautiful, Interesting, and Relaxing must-do tour

A wonderful tour all around. Easy to book and to get to, very relaxing and very nice with the ocean breeze. Our guide Adam is so friendly and knowledgeable, having grown up on the island and still living there, so he has his own personal experience and family history to add to the information he gives about the island. He also very obviously loves the SS City of Adelaide, the star shipwreck on this tour, and you can tell from the way he shares her story and points out her features. And she is a very beautiful wreck site; the most interesting wreck I’ve ever seen. I’d personally call this tour a must-do if you’re on Magnetic Island for any amount of time.

Adam was a fantastic host giving us great historical insights into Magnetic Islands fascinating past. The time spent at sunset with the SS City of Adelaide was unforgettable.

Wonderful whale watching wayfaring

This was an unbelievable experience ! The staff held true on their promise to se whales, we saw them for about 80 percent for the time on board, quite close up, with cubs and all, putting on a show for us. Then some dolphins decided to add to the spectacular show. We had a nice dip in the water around Radical Bay and played with some stand-up paddle boards. The afternoon tea was great with lots of variety, and we arrived back in time for the Townsvillians to catch their ferry back to the mainland. I can highly recommend this tour, and congratulations to aquascene for making it all happen.
