This is the perfect combination of culture, history and adventure. As soon as your cruiseship arrives to Costa Maya Port, travel through history from the Mayans to the pirates. Start your adventure in one of the least explored archeological sites in the Maya Zone that date back to 200 BC. and let yourself be surprised by the incredible monuments, flora and fauna that the jungle has to offer you. After visiting the jungle and the Mayan city of Chacchoben, we will go to the Bacalar lagoon, a famous haven for pirates, where you can relax, swim or enjoy a kayak ride in the refreshing waters of the spectacular seven-color lagoon. Take a short break eating some delicious fajitas with your favorite drink at the edge of the lagoon or just enjoy the breeze and incredible landscape. Your tour will depart one hour after your cruise docks, starting from the conveniently located Plaza Las Fuentes, just outside the Port. Please consider the total time to walk from your cruise to the excursion office is about 15 minutes.

    Visit one of the least explored archaeological sites of the Mayan Culture in the heart of the jungle. Start your adventure in one of the least explored archeological sites in the Maya Zone that date back to 200 BC. and let yourself be surprised by the incredible monuments, flora and fauna that the jungle has to offer you. Enjoy the sound of nature and climb the ancient temples for spectacular views of the jungle.

    Visit the Bacalar lagoon a famous old haven for pirates, where you can relax, swim or enjoy a kayak ride in the refreshing waters of the seven-color lagoon. Take a short break eating some delicious fajitas with your favorite drink at the edge of the lagoon or just enjoy the breeze and incredible landscape.

Mayan History at its Best

This was a great tour & not difficult to find our guides. The transportation was very nice with great AC. Our tour guides were extremely knowledgeable & enjoyed sharing the culture & history of the Mayan peoples, as well as current history of the area. From our guide on our first bus, to Eric, our guide at the ruins, the sincerity & appreciation of the Mayan culture was shared & gifted to us as a treasure. We really had a wonderful time. Our lunch/lagoon experience was equally lovely & our hosts were kind & generous. Very glad we chose this tour.

Highly recommend them. The hospitality they gave us was incredible. They was with us from start to finish. They took us around and gave us a complete tour. They still with us all the way to the end they even carried my drunk as back on the bus. They did not leave me until when it was time for us to return they took me back safe they got, a wheelchair for me and all highly highly recommend them far the best

Lorenzo had a lot of knowledge and was very personable. We really felt like his grasp of the Mayans was strong and gave us a good picture of what we saw and what was going on at the site. The lunch was local tacos and a beverage choice and then time on a lagoon at a private resort. We recommend this group and tour very much.
