We were picked up by Dewa who was absolutely brilliant for the whole day at our hotel.
It was a private tour and the first stop was the sacred monkey forest. This was a beautiful area that was being conserved. The monkeys for the majority kept themselves to themselves however I was unfortunate to have one 5 minutes into the visit climb on my shoulder and pee on me haha! New t shirt required for the day!
We then visited the Ubud market which we found the needed t shirt in. The stalls were bursting with colour and you could haggle a price on anything you looked at. There was food (we didn’t risk it as some meat and fish was a bit stinky), clothes, art and all sorts of memorabilia.
We were then taken about an hour up to Kintamani mountain to view the volcanoes and have lunch. This was a stunning outlook and we had lucky weather to have a good view whilst tucking in to a tasty buffet lunch.
The next stop was the Luwak coffee plantation. The Luwak is a civit like animal that roams wild eating coffee beans and you guessed it pooing them out again to make the cups of coffee. They also let us try all of the tea and different coffee and we bought some to take home.
We then stopped off at the rice terraces which were stunning on the way home.
Dewa was brilliant and dropped us where we wanted to go and was so felxible with the day.
Thank you!
