Such a great idea! So different to the traditional tour and you get to see the city from another perspective. The guide was so funny and knowledgeable as well.

A Fun and Unique Experience

If you're looking for a truly unique and unforgettable experience in Berlin, I highly recommend the Berlin Wall Self-Drive Trabi Tour. Driving a Trabant, an iconic East German car, is a blast from the past and a great way to see the city. Booking and Insurance: While you can't book your insurance directly through TripAdvisor, it's a simple process to add it on when you check in for just €25. It's definitely worth it to be covered for your adventure. Getting Started: Before you hit the road, take some time to familiarize yourself with the Trabant's gear shift. The stick shift is a bit different from what you might be used to in modern cars, so practicing on the simulator is a good idea. The Tour: Our tour guide, Thomas, was fantastic. He shared his personal stories about growing up with Trabants and made the experience even more enjoyable. The sights along the tour were amazing, and we had a lot of fun taking photos and soaking up the atmosphere. Overall: Driving a Trabant through Berlin was a highlight of our trip. The tour is well-organized, and the Trabants are in great condition. If you're looking for a fun and memorable way to explore the city, I highly recommend this tour.
