Whether you are a zipline enthusiast or a first-time adventure-seeker, this Kohala zipline adventure in Kapaau, a small town on the northern tip of the Big Island, will be an exhilarating experience you’ll never forget!

Meeting points

Kohala Zipline Station located in Kapaau in North Kohala. Driving directions from Kona/Kohala Resorts: • Take Highway 19 (Queen Kaahumanu Hwy) north to Highway 270 (Akoni Pule Hwy). • Turn left on to Highway 270 and continue approximately 21 miles to the intersection of Highway 270 and Hawi Road. • Turn right on to Hawi Road. Kohala Zipline is the historic yellow building on the left behind the gas station.

Designed and built within a towering forest on a private nature reserve, this elevated adventure is perfect for all – whether you’re a beginner or seasoned expert. Our certified zipline guides promise both safety and comfort while sharing their expanded knowledge of the area’s natural and cultural history.

  • Participants must weigh between 70 and 270 lbs (32 kilograms and 122 kilograms) and WILL BE WEIGHED AT CHECK-IN. Guests will NOT be refunded if they do not meet the weight restrictions.
  • Lightweight pants, capris or knee-length shorts, and a light sweatshirt are recommended
  • Guests must wear close-toed shoes
  • Minor children require a parent or guardian to sign their participation agreement, and children between the ages of 8 and 13 require an adult to zip with them
  • This tour is not recommended for expectant mothers or those with back or neck problems

Absolutely fantastic Ziplining experience!

Having ziplined many times, this was unique as we were high in the trees and walked between platforms over suspension bridges. Our 2 guides prioritized safety first and were very skilled at giving instructions, calming any fears, and making the whole experience fun! It is physically challenging at times and anyone with a fear of heights may want to reconsider. My family had a wonderful time!!

Terrific experience! Decker and Brenda and the whole crew were fun yet professional. The course is challenging but we all had a great time, including the teen agers and octogenarian in our party. Highly recommend this experience. You take multiple zips, cross rope bridges, see amazing countryside and build up to the final huge zip. Great fun!
