The Plaza de San Juan de Dios of Cadiz is a large urban space that is located inside its historic and traditional quarter.

Monumento a la Constitucion de 1812

The Monument to the Constitution of 1812 is a monument in Cádiz, Spain that commemorates the centennial of the signing of the Constitution of 1812. The monument, commissioned in 1912 and completed in 1929, is located in the centre of the Plaza de España in Cádiz.

Murallas de San Carlos

The walls of San Carlos, are located, raised by the sea, next to the Plaza España, in the old town of Cadiz. Its construction was completed in 1784 by the military engineer Antonio Hurtado. This bastion could house 90 artillery pieces and contained 55 vaults for different uses. In some of these vaults, wells were built to store the snow that was brought from the mountains of Cadiz.

It is the main square of the city, where you can find the City Hall, the Church of the Hospital of San Juan de Dios, today it is an almost completely pedestrian area, with many restaurants with terraces, which makes it a meeting point.

Teatro Romano

The Roman Theatre of Cádiz is an ancient structure in Cádiz, Andalusia, in southern Spain. The remains (only partially excavated) were discovered in 1980. The theatre, which was likely built during the 1st century BC and was one of the largest ever built in the Roman Empire, was abandoned in the 4th century and, in the 13th century, a fortress was built on its ruins by order of King Alfonso X of Castile.

Amazing tour of Cadiz, oldest city in Western Europe.

The walking tour with Enrique on Christmas Day in historical Cadiz was amazing. It was made special by Enrique with his passionate talks about his city. Super friendly and accommodating to all our questions. He gave special time for our very inquisitive 9yrs old son as well. Highly recommended. I had booked this through Get My Guide app.

Our tour guide, Aurelio, was a local history student in his third year at the University of Cadiz, so was passionate about the history of Cadiz and Spain and how the city fit into the big picture. Be ready to walk a bunch and learn all about the special monuments reflecting the special historical moments, including the spot where Spain declared Independence.

Cadiz was awesome especially getting to walk with Enrique, who is from Cadiz. Such a good guy and can’t imagine anyone knows the ins and outs of Cadiz more. Honestly such a cool dude and hope I can stay in touch with him. Cadiz contributes its own flavor — a well-maintained ancient beach town w/ eclectic roots — to a region filled with uniqueness. I’d suggest anyone coming to southern Spain to see Cadiz with Enrique and the team. Thank you Enrique and I’ll see you in NYC !!

Aurelio made our day in Cadiz an absolutely amazing experience. He customized our tour to to include the things we wanted. Aurelio was extremely knowledgeable, personable and a truly enjoyable tour guide. The company was easy to work with and the tour was super easy to arrange. The next time we’re back in Cadiz We will do this again and specifically ask for Aurelio again. This is not a canned tour, it is truly personalized tour.
