Experience the beauty and history of downtown Charleston from underneath the awning of a horse drawn carriage. Listen to the rich stories told by your engaging guide as you are lead through a time of revolution and splendor. This relaxing 1-hour, fully narrated group tour leads you through the quaint and charming streets of downtown Charleston. You will see beautiful gardens and parks, stately mansions, historic churches and buildings all the while learning about the people and events that shaped the history of this "Holy City". Tours depart approximately every 30 minutes beginning at 9:30am and your specific start time will be assigned to you upon check-in.

The office is on a side street downtown and is not as nice as some of the other carriage company ones but the people are! And our tour was awesome. The woman at the desk honored a coupon I found on Groupon by me just mentioning it which was lovely because I didn't have to go through the hassle of purchasing it on the site. She also recommended a nice coffee shop while we waited. Our tour guide's name I believe was Caroline and she was funny and full of interesting facts. This was my fifth carriage ride downtown - I usually bring my out of town guest on one and they always love the experience - and it was still just as interesting and great as the first time. Recommend :)
