Overview

The first destination of our tour will be Los Lagos de Covadonga, where you can enjoy the wonderful landscape offered by the Picos de Europa. Next, we will head towards Covadonga and its sanctuary, a place of worship and pilgrimage where the Virgin of Covadonga is found. We will visit the Holy Cave and the Basilica. Later, we will move to Cangas de Onís, where we will visit the wonderful Roman Bridge, one of the most iconic and photographed places in Asturias. After the visit, there will be free time in Cangas de Onís to have lunch in one of its restaurants enjoying the local cuisine.

  • Lagos de Covadonga (Pass By)

    Discover one of the most beautiful places you can imagine, and that you will get to know in detail on an exciting excursion in which we will also visit the Basilica of Covadonga. A unique opportunity to visit the Lakes during the summer, since access to cars is closed and you can only go up by public transport.

  • Cangas de Onis

    We will discover the charming Asturian town of Cangas de Onís, where you will surely want to capture an unforgettable memory in front of the bridge where the victory cross hangs. In addition, here you will enjoy many of the pleasures of the Principality, such as cider or the incredible Asturian gastronomy.

    We will visit the Sanctuary of Covadonga, where the Santina, patron saint of the region, is located. Here the guide will tell you the history of this place, of King Pelayo and his importance.

Fabulous views!

The views were breathtaking. The lakes were beautiful and it was great to have a walk around the area. Later we stopped at at mirador (Look out point) and saw more amazing views including soaring eagles above. The Covadonga church was impressive and surrounded by stunning mountains. We didn't go to Santillana, we went to Cangas de Onis in Asturias, where there is a fantastic Roman Bridge.
