Looking for the biggest and best day trip out of Hobart? Join our small group road trip across Tasmania and visit one of the worlds most beautiful locations - Dove Lake and Cradle Mountain. Starting early, we offer a safe, fun, efficient full day that is focused just on Cradle Mountain. No extra accommodation required - just a day pack. It is a lovely drive through the heart of Tasmania, passing through charming villages, farmlands, forest, by Mountains, around lakes and over rivers. you will see so much of Tasmania in one day, with just the right amount of commentary along the way, not too much, and plenty of time to chill. We will also guide you inside Cradle Mountain NP to make the most of our time there - up to 5 hours, a really good amount of time to explore, hike, climb, walk, photograph, sit, breathe, enjoy. We start early (6am) and return to Hobart at 9pm. Contact Sam at Derwent Experience direct for possible other dates and specials for booking more than one person.

Tailored visit to suit needs

I went with Sam from Derwent, cant recommend him highly enough, having twisted my knee just enough to know I wouldnt be hiking Sam tailored a visit to the nearby Devil park getting there in time for feeding. Great experience

Long day out with Sam!

Nice long day trip out of 15hrs with Sam. Though weather was rather wet but we managed to trek around Dove Circuit and took us approx.2.5hrs. It would be good to bring some snacks along the way in case of hungry but there are some seating areas around the circuit. It wasn't as strenuous or difficult as I thought.

Sam is an excellent tour guide and is very organized. Everything ran like clockwork. Mout Cradle was amazing and the food stops were outstanding. I would recommend this trip without hesitation.

Seeing the lake (Cradle Mountain was covered with clouds), doing the Enchanted Walk, seeing the many waterfalls and different plants. Tour Guide Sam was very knowledgeable and helpful.
