Overview

Ijen located on 2368m above sea level on mountain top, This is the world's largest acidic crater lake with approximately 200m in depth and width reaches 5.4666 hectares. The crater is part of Ijen National Park that serves also a tourism site. " Every person hikes on Ijen will always have a great memories and will surely miss them " Witness the beautiful sunrise and turquoise lake in the crater filles with six million litres of acid solution. Also greet amazing sulphur miner. Yet nothing more breathtaking than blue flame phenomenon. It is a rare sight to behold because the other place with this kind of natural wonder is Iceland.   • Ijen Crater

    Ijen Volcano Crater is one of the most attractive and dangerous places in the world. Active volcano, constantly spewing sulfur smoke clubs, the world’s largest acid lake Kawah Ijen, incredible in its beauty blue fire and extremely hard working conditions in the sulfur mine. We went down into the crater to see everything with our own eyes. The Ijen volcanic complex consists of several strato volcanoes and cinder cones and a 20 km wide caldera. Ijen caldera is the largest in Java. The size of the crater is about 960 m x 600 m. The primary dangers at Ijen are pyroclastic flows, lahars, and lava flows But tourists are interested in the acidic crater lake shore which is a natural large deposits of sulfur.

    Despite, needing to cuddle hard in the dark icy abyss, watching the sunrise creep above the mountains was absolutely stunning. It was really beautiful but also HUGE surprise to see what the surroundings really looked like.
