Ijen was beautiful, despite not seeing the blue fire it was 100% worth it. The sunrise at the summit was out of this world. Our guide Qim Qim was incredible. He is so friendly and knowledgeable, he made us all laugh and taught us a great deal about Ijen. Hike up to the summit was short (approx 1 hour) and relaxed as you can go at your own pace. At the end of the tour Qim Qim helped us plan the rest of our journey through Java.

the tour with qim qim and kiki was such an amazing experience. everything was so easy to arrange and qim qim is the most energetic, enthusiastic and honest guide you‘ll ever get. from the very first moment it was like meeting an old friend who happens to take you to a volcano and know every little bit about it - we really had an extraordinary night thanks to those guys!!

This tour was really good although gutted that we couldn't see the natural blue flames but it's natural so it's a hit and miss. Our guide Qim Qim was super amazing as well as the co guide Kiki.

We couldn’t have asked for better guides than Qim Qim and Kiki Kiki for our volcano Ijen adventure! Well worth it. There is now much choice in seeing Ijen, due to limited access times. But if you want to pick a tour, this is probably the right one. Very pushing guide. Were the first ones up there. :) On thing that probably won't happen anymore is the big blue fire. But if you ask me, it is overrated. The view from the top is, what you want to see.
