Overview

Join the team from 'the original Marlborough Wine Tours and Discover New Zealand's premier wine region on this half-day tour with pick up options from Picton and Blenheim ( subject to availability on the day). Visit four different wineries in the Marlborough wine region and be guided by our experienced wine tour guides. Stroll through the vineyards, and sample wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. This small-group tour is limited to 11 people and includes hotel pickup and drop-off. With approximately 20 tasting rooms to visit on a daily basis there is plenty of choice. If you have somewhere you really want to go let us know at booking time. There is no lunch stop - small eats or cheese platter can be purchased on the tour. NOTE: please do not book this tour if you are on a cruise ship as we won't guarrantee return to ship in time. Please pick the right pick up location, time and price, central Picton or central Blenheim, if outside those locations please check with us first.

If your hotel/ accommodation is not listed then Specify your address - If it is outisde our pick up area there may be a surcharge applicable. The tour departs Picton at 12.30 pm (12pm Winter - ... If you are arriving on the Interislander ferry which arrives at 12.15 you won't make the tour.. If you are on the Bluebridge that arrives at 1145 you should be on time for the tour.
Pick ups start up to 15 minutes prior to tour start time. Please check your messages for updated pick up time
Please ensure you Choose the correct tour option 12.30 pm for the Picton Tour or 13.00 for the Blenheim tour ( they are priced and timed differently)
If you are arriving by cruise ship you need to book a shore excursion tour, or check with us first to ensure timings will be ok.
There is no lunch stop on this tour, you may be able to purchase a light snack along the way

Generous, interesting & warm NZ welcome

I signed up on the half day tour as a solo traveller. The guide & other group members were very friendly & welcoming. We tasted lots of wonderful wines from 4 chosen vineyards, each venue unique in its own way. My favourites were Jackson vineyard & a french one which served the most amazing sparkling wine. Our guide, Lynard was lovely, she was attentive to all the guests, charismatic & just made you feel at ease & very welcomed. I’d recommend trying the tasting box at Jackson’s or the cheese toastie at the Foom vineyard. Vineyards were very generous with their tastings.

On meeting Lynley our tour guide, I knew we were in great hands. We had a great afternoon exploring 4 of the wineries in the Marlborough Wine Region. Particularly liked Hunters winery. Really nice wine & a good cheese platter. Our host was terrific. The group from the UK, Seattle & Australia- had a great camaraderie & all enjoyed our tour. Comfortable air conditioned small seated bus.

Excellent tour guide. James knew his stuff and we had a lot of questions answered. We went to 4 vineyards and at the last one we went slightly off piste as we experienced different ones. Great afternoon and there were 5 of us in total.
