Overview

La Paz and the Sea of Cortez, are one of the most magical and unknown diving destinations of Mexico and the world. Diving with friendly sea lions, playing with their pups, and exploring ship wrecks are but a few of the wonders hidden at La Paz underwater world. We are diving fanatics and we perfectly know what is needed to have a completely satisfying underwater experience. We make sure you dive with people with your level of experience. We work with small groups because we don’t like crowded dives, and we want our divers to experience authentic, fulfilling adventures.

Itinerary

Our diving expeditions begins at 8 am. We will sail for approximately one hour and a half until we reach incredible places as colonies of friendly sea lions, wrecks or rocky reefs. Apart from the sea lions, it is common to see sea turtles, mobulas, schools of fish and some marine invertebrates such as octopuses or nudibranchs. And sometimes, in the right places and with a little luck, we can see sharks, dolphins, diving cormorants, and giant manta rays. Either after both dives, or in between them, we will stop at one of the many beautiful beaches of La Paz to enjoy a delicious lunch with shade, drinks, and local fresh food. We will return to La Paz at around 3 and 4 pm.

Dive with Mexico Travel Adventure - They are the BEST!!!

We went diving with Mexico Travel Adventure two separate days while in La Paz. They were a top notch company with great divemasters and boats. Andrea was so enthusiastic educating us about the sea lions and all the underwater fish. And Omar was our guide the second day and he was also great. The lunches on the beach after the dives were also terrific - great ceviche! If you are diving in La Paz, this is the company to use. They can also arrange all you land and water activities while in Baja California Sur and are a fabulous company to work with!

I recently had an incredible experience with Mexico Travel Adventure in La Paz, and I can’t recommend them enough! From start to finish, the trip was amazing. The crew was exceptionally friendly and professional. Our captain, Christian, made it clear that safety was a top priority for everyone on board. What really stood out was how fluently the entire team spoke English, which made everything so much easier for those of us not fluent in Spanish. Matteo, our snorkeling guide, and Omar, our scuba guide, were both fantastic—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the environment and marine life. I loved that the tour catered to both snorkelers and scuba divers, allowing everyone to have a great time together. The highlight of the trip was the vibrant marine life. We saw an abundance of beautiful fish, and the sea lions were so playful and interactive with both snorkelers and divers alike! I was also impressed by the company’s commitment to conservation and ensuring that we respected the environment throughout the trip. Best Diving tour in Baja!!

One of the best diving tours in Mexico overall! Brand new scuba gear, brand new boat with toilet, amazing tour guides (not your typical tour guide) these guys are graduated from the local university as marine biologist so you get a real and deep explanation of the wildlife. Ceviche and service on board amazing as well! Cant wait to go back for the autum/winter season!

Best experience ever. Especially the sea lions. I scuba dived. My grown children snorkled. The sea lions came to us to play over and over. Small boat means small group, which is perfect. Wreck dive was wonderful. We went in and out of all rooms. Customer service top notch! This company care. Also chose lapaz over cabo any day!
