Prepare for a full day tour Celestún located in Yucatán that every nature lover should visit. And inside is the Ría Celestún Biosphere Reserve. It is one of the ecological reserves richest in species, dunes, mangroves. However, one of its greatest attractions is the sighting of flamingos, Celestún is located in the state of Yucatán. It is a true eco-tourist paradise that protects a Natural Reserve with the same name. At the same time, within this place, there is Tambor, a place where you can enjoy watching flamingos. Merida

08:00 a.m. We pick you up at the selected meeting point (we have 3 meeting points in Mérida). The Office is the first meeting point, there is a 10 minute wait at each point and the order in which they arrive is how they board the vans. A stop is made at a store before leaving Mérida to buy water or snacks for the road. Recommendations and meeting points for this tour are in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section on this page

Celestun

Merida to Celestun 08:45- 10:15a.m. Travel time from Mérida to the Celestún Biosphere Reserve pier (First stop). The guide provides you with information on board about the activities that will be carried out on this tour. Boat Tour 10:15- 12:00 p.m. You board the boat which has a capacity for a maximum of 8 people, on this boat you take the 1 and a half hour trip to visit the bird rest area, sighting of flamingos, you cross the mangrove tunnel and swims in an eye of fresh water. Here on the pier there are bathrooms. 15 minutes are also allocated to coexist with the raccoons that inhabit the reserve, which you can feed with cookies or fruit.

Celestun

Pier to Tia Candy Restaurant 12:00- 12:15 p.m. Travel time from the pier to the Tía Candi restaurant located in front of Celestún beach (Second stop). Celestun Beach 12:15 - 03:15 p.m. 3-hour stay on the beach to eat at the restaurant, swim and explore the surroundings. Here there are lounge chairs, a swing, bathrooms and showers. The food menu can be found in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section on this page. 15 minutes are also allocated to the center where the Celestún letters are located to take photos. From Celestun to Merida 03:15- 04:45 p.m. Travel time from Celestún to Mérida (End of tour). On the route when leaving Celestún, there is an additional stop at a local stand where they sell natural products made from coconut such as water, popsicles, creams and other typical sweets.

Boat ride: 1 hour and a half to visit the bird rest area, watch flamingos, go through the mangrove tunnel and swim in a freshwater eye.
Customer can bring water bottles, and all the snacks they want on board, make sure to breakfast but you have to be ready and early in the official meeting point, if you do not board you can swith for another day and it depends of the availability
If for any reason you are a no show or decide not to go the same day, this tour cannot be rescheduled, you would have to buy again. If you do not board, and is no show there is no amended , if you want to do you have to pay again

This experience is non-refundable and cannot be changed for any reason. If you cancel or ask for an amendment, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Great tour

I think this is the best way to make a day trip from Merida to Celestun. We had a very good tour guide and a driver. The guide explained well before we arrived at the spot. The car was comfortable. Most of all we were really lucky to see so so many flamingos!
