During our recent visit to Turkey, I booked a day trip from Istanbul to Gallipoli. We were collected from our hotel in a very comfortable Mercedes Benz vehicle for the approx. 4 hour drive, whereby shortly before arriving, we collected our guide APO (Abdurrahim Boz). As proud Australians - my husband, an ex infantry serviceman - we thought our knowledge of the events at Gallipoli was strong and clear however, APO put paid to the idea. This well spoken, very articulate gentleman has 17+ years of researched knowledge, backed up by visual aids which he is very happy to share and explain. His highly respectful tone and genuine approach makes him the perfect guide for a day at Gallipoli. In our opinion, this was a VIP experience, second to none. To use any guide with lesser passion, respect or knowledge would be a waste. We are appreciative of APO’s time, knowledge, kindness, respect and genuine passion for the events at Gallipoli and hold him in high esteem for the efforts he went to to make our Gallipoli Experience one we will always remember.

APO's encyclopaedic passionate knowledge of all things Gallipoli and his excellent clear English. He was objective and logical while also compassionate and diplomatic. Lunch was in a traditional roadside cafe - simple but delicious. Our driver Omar was very steady and capable, with no scary habits, and the vehicle itself was so luxurious we really didn't find the 2 x 4 hours journey at all painful. We were deeply grateful to not be on one of the large crowded tour buses. Highly recommend as great value for money.

Abdurrahim BOZ a.k.a. APO was our private Gallipoli Guide - and I'm so glad we decided to do this! APO has an encyclopaedic knowledge that comes from 20+ years of a genuinely passionate interest in the history of Gallipoli. He was also logical and objective in his explanations with excellent clear English. His humanity and compassion is compelling. We saw the huge crowded tour buses and were so grateful to avoid those, as I don't think we would've absorbed nearly as much, and it would have been a lot more hassle. Lunch was in a pleasant cafe at side of the road, our driver was excellent and the 4 hours each way passed smoothly and in luxury. Thank you!

The best gallopoli tour we could have asked for! APO was unbelievably knowledgeable and painted a superb picture of the war. As NZers that land was as important for our history as it was for the Turks. APO presented a perfect mix of war, courage and respect giving perspectives from both sides! We have recommended this tour to all of our friends

This was an unexpected highlight for me . Was not on my bucket list but was for my travelling companion. Our guide, Abdurrahim was passionate about the Gallipoli story. We had the entire site virtually to ourselves the entire trip which added to the experience. This is the sort of tour that is best experienced as a private tour and Abdurrahim is the preferred choice of guide.
