This was among the most smooth and orderly trips I have ever done from beginning to end! Julio, my cheerful agent, greeted me in the lobby right from my hotel in Cusco, double-checked I had all my tickets, and detailed the whole schedule. The private transportation and all the trip was comfortable and uneventful, with breathtaking surroundings all along. Everything at the train station was so precisely planned; I had no trouble getting on the train. The trip itself was amazing; great onboard service and spectacular views of the Andes. When I got to Aguas Calientes, a guide was there carrying a placard bearing my name. It was at this point that I met Ruben, my Machu Picchu private guide, who was immensely informed and interesting. He made history come alive, guiding me to maximize my time and enable me to get incredible images. Following Machu Picchu, I had time to eat a great lunch in a nearby restaurant and peruse the markets before returning the same direction. The trip was perfect—every link went without a hitch and I always felt safe and properly looked after. If you’re looking for a stress-free way to visit Machu Picchu in one day, this is the tour for you! Our driver Albert picked us up at 4 AM from our hotel in Cusco and drove us to Ollantaytambo station, where we took the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes. The scenery along the way was beautiful , and the train ride was super comfortable. Our guide Manuel was waiting for us in Aguas Calientes, and after a short break, we took the bus up to Machu Picchu. I had seen countless photos before, but nothing compared to actually being there. Manuel took us through every important site, from the Inca terraces to the Temple of the Condor, making the history come alive. If you want an authentic, immersive experience, book this tour!

Our visit to Machu Picchu and Peru would not have been complete without taking this excursion. Elvis Adventutes made our first trip to South America memorable, despite our limited Spanish language skills. The tour guides were accommodating to our language problem by offering bilingual guides, and they were also well-versed in the local history and culture. Without having to worry about language barriers, we were able to take in Machu Picchu in all its glory. The tour company took care of every element of our trip with their meticulous planning and execution. Not only did our bilingual guides help us better appreciate the significance of Machu Picchu to Peruvian history and culture, but they also introduced us to the local community and gave us unique insights into their way of life. The hike up to Machu Picchu from the Sacred Valley was otherworldly. However, the highlight of the trip was undoubtedly our charming guide, Sebastian. His enthusiasm for the history of the Cusco area, which he has studied for more than seven years, is infectious. His commentary throughout the tour was full of interesting and entertaining tidbits. Naturally, he kept us all interested, kept us on time, and made sure everyone felt like they belonged. In every element of the tour, Sebastian's knowledge and enthusiasm shone through. His capacity to connect with everyone in the group—regardless of age or background—greatly improved it. His insider knowledge of Cusco's smaller restaurants and lesser-known attractions enriched our experience there. As a whole, our time in Cusco was greatly improved thanks to Sebastian, and he made quite an impression on all of us.
