Overview
Explore one of the most visited and amazing cities in Europe with your official private guide and driver.
Bruges is a city of canals, with many narrow winding streets and squares, and a plethora of gabled houses. The city flourished as the capital of the Counts of Flanders from about 1000 to 1346. It became an important commercial centre, mainly due to its strategic port and textile industry.
The city is now a prominent tourist destination known for its historic centre, brugs gins (traditional alcoholic drinks), and medieval canals that give the city an old-world charm.
There are tons of historic buildings to explore, such as the Basilica of the Holy Blood, one of Bruges' most notable attractions. It's also one of the most visited cities in Belgium, and has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2018.
In this private tour of Bruges, a knowledgeable and passionate guide will show you the city’s hidden gems, share its folklore, and give you an insider's perspective.

Basilica of the Holy Blood
The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a Roman Catholic church located in Bruges, Belgium. The basilica houses what is said to be a relic of the Holy Blood traditionally believed to be from the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The blood is said to liquefy only at certain times, and is then held in one of the many vials contained within the reliquary. The construction for this church was begun in 1388 and was completed about a century later.

Belfort
The belfry was built in 1339 and is one of the finest bell towers in Belgium. It is 83 meters high and has a magnificent glockenspiel. It is entered from the Halle's inner courtyard and the view from up there is spectacular. To admire the best view of Bruges, follow the 366 steps up to the top of its tower.
30 minutes
Minnewater Lake
The Minnewater Park is a verdant park that was created by landscape architect Raymond Cloos in 1932. The park is situated in the heart of the city and it is a popular destination for locals and tourists. The area around the park includes many historic buildings such as Begijnhof, Castle de la Faille and Beguinage.
The Minnewater Bridge was built in 1931 by Dutch engineer Emil Mennens. It has been considered one of the most important bridges in Belgium because it connects two parts of Brussels that were historically separated: Leopold Quarter and Ixelles.

Historium Brugge
The Historium on the Square is a museum of history that takes place in a medieval building. It offers a tour through time, with themed rooms and objects from the past.
The visit starts with a short film about Bruges’ history, followed by an interactive tour through the city’s medieval past. Visitors can explore themed rooms such as an artist's studio and climb up to the top of the tower for a bird's eye view of Bruges.
The Bruges City Hall is the town hall of Bruges. It is located in the Burg square and is considered one of the most beautiful medieval buildings in Belgium.
The building, a short distance away from the north-eastern corner of the square, was built in 1506 and rebuilt several times since.
