The tour begins when our driver meets you in your hotel lobby or Airbnb. Our first stop will be the majestic Tule Tree, an ancient giant that has seen centuries of history go by. Admire its immensity, immersing yourself in the connection between nature and mythology that surrounds it. Teotitlán del Valle is our next stop, where the art of textiles comes to life, dyes with natural pigments that reflect centuries of tradition and culture. Our next destination is San Martín Tilcajete, you will be surprised with the vibrant Alebrijes, figures that come to life. The tour takes us to San Bartolo Coyotepec, where black pottery becomes an expression of beauty and craftsmanship. Here, you will discover the ancestral legacy embodied in each piece, a true masterpiece of ceramics. Our tour ends around 5 in the afternoon, when we will return to your hotel or airbnb with an unforgettable experience. San Martin Tilcajete

A tour of Oaxaca that includes the land of the alebrijes, the town of black clay and Teotitlán del Valle, is an incredible experience to learn about the cultural and artistic richness of this region of Mexico. The first place on this tour is the land of the alebrijes, in the community of San Martín Tilcajete. Here we will visit an artisan's workshop, where they create these colorful and fantastic animals made of wood, which have become an icon of Mexican folk art. It is possible to see the carving and painting process, as well as acquire a unique and authentic piece to take as a souvenir.

Afterwards, we will visit the town of San Bartolo Coyotepec, known for its black clay pottery. Here we will visit one of the workshops where artisans create beautiful pieces of black clay, such as vases, plates and figurines, using ancestral techniques. It is possible to see the production process and buy pieces directly from the artisans.

We will continue with a visit to the town of Teotitlán del Valle, famous for its hand-woven woolen rugs. Here we will visit one of the workshops where artisans weave rugs and other textiles using natural dyes and traditional designs. In addition, you can watch dyeing and weaving demonstrations, and buy a unique and authentic piece.

Once in a lifetime unique tour

When asked where we wanted to go by our guide Sebastian all we said was food and culture. He immediately said I know just the the places. First was el Mercado in Ocotlan de Merida, where we had a great meal of QuesiBirrias and Tlayudas. Next was to "Manos que Ven" where a blind artesan makes the most unique clay figures with his family of three generations and his "Muse"wife. She actually sat down and talked to us, one on one, while creating a piece. Then off to a family of artists where we also met the three generations of weavers. Including one who is NOT allowed to compete any more, WHY? Because she has one ALL the competions in weaving. We met them and had a private tutoring session also. Truly unique experience all thought of on the spot. Great once in a lifetime and VERY affordable prices for one of a kind original works of craftsmanship. Thanks Sebastian

They came one hour prior to the time we supposed to be picked up-This van was much better quality and confortable than the one to take us to Montealban . Guide and driver was very kind, and share his knowledge.The place is awesone.The time spend in every place was right what we needed.Place to eat was good.

The guide at Mitla was full of knowledge and passion. The mezcal salesman was not pushy and aswered all questions. The family,of weavers was very pleasant.The,tour was in english and spanish. Tule was,closed.
