This was a last-minute booking, but so glad we did it! Fantastic day with James as our driver and guide. Early start to ensure we got to see all that was planned, and more. An early stop at a cafe for coffee and brekkie if you wanted some (all food and drinks during the day was at our own expense, except bottles of water, which James supplied on board). Never any pressure to get anything, but also a chance to get off and walk around too.
Weather was a challenge at times, but James had disposable ponchos on board for us, just in case we didn't have rain coats with us.
Make sure you wear shoes that cope with the rain and/or wet ground, especially for the Rainforest walk, and bring a raincoat just in case. You can leave things on the minibus when you go out, as it's kept locked when parked.
Loved the coastal stops, with some remarkable views, as well as the Rainforest. We certainly got our steps in! Also stopped to see kangaroos and koalas in the wild - brilliant! Final stop was the chocolate and icecream factory. No obligation to buy, but most of us did! The shop is huge - lots of variety and the chocolate is delicious. Many of us got an icecream to have on the way back. Again, there is so much choice and be warned, the scoops are huge. We had the berries frozen yoghurt, which tasted lovely.
It was a long, but great day, lasting approx 12 hours. Time went really quickly as there was so much to see and do - thanks James.
