  • Chiang Mai Foodie Tours

    At 9am, all Foodies will meet tour guides at the Three Kings Monument, located in the Old City. Destination #1: Try a simple yet must-eat staple dish, Kao Man Gai. The restaurant is a favorite amongst locals and visiting Thai, and has been family owned since 1957. Destination #2: Visit Wat Chiang Man, the first temple built in the old city (walk) Destination #3: Try Chiang Mai’s famous Kao Soi noodle dish. In addition to experiencing this meal and learning about it’s history and origins. Destination #4: Visit the Wat Gate Community. Destination #5: Chiang Mai’s number one dessert destination for Sakoo Sai Hmoo and Kao Griap Paak Hmaw. Destination #6: Cross over the Ping River walking bridge and conclude with a street food experience at Warorot Market, which has been around for over a century. Inside the market, we’ll stop at our favorite stands and try local highlights like freshly made Golden Curl, Sai Oua, mango sticky rice, Thai iced tea, and more. Tour ends 1pm at Warorot Market.

  • Warorot Market (Kad Luang)

    At 4 pm, all Foodies will meet our tour guide at Warorot Market. Destination #1: Warorot Market is one of Chiang Mai’s oldest, largest and most diverse open-markets. Inside the market, we’ll stop at our favorite stands and try local highlights like Sai Oua (Northern Thai sausage), freshly made Golden Curl, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced tea. Destination #2: Stroll through the nearby Flower Market Destination #3: Ride to our favorite, authentic Northern Thai restaurant where you’ll feast upon mouth watering staple dishes — Gaeng Hunglay, Larb Moo, Khua Jin Som, and the award winning Yum Samunprai herbal salad. Destination #4: Ride to Wat Sadue Muang, inside the Old City, and journey back in time together to learn about this historical site. Destination #5: One more ride to Chang Puak Gate night market where you’ll enjoy a couple street food must-eats. Taste the well known “cow girl” stewed pork leg on rice and enjoy a freshly made, hot rotee! The tour will end around 8pm.

Great dinner plans in Chiang Mai

We really enjoyed this evening out. We got to explore a new part of Chiang Mai along the way. And each food stop was delicious! Definitely recommend this as a great way to get dinner!

Excellent tour. Really flexible guide who managed our family being 30 mins late (do check your start point for the 4pm tour as it isn't the same as the 9am one!!) and a family with very young kids. We ate really diverse variety of foods and the host ensured all dietary requirements met, she amended the menu as we all wanted to try duck as well!! All in all 5* from start to finish.

Go hungry. Very great way to learn more about Thai food and the history of Chiang Mai. PT was an amazing tour date and very knowledgable. We went to a Michelin star restaurant for Khao Soi which was unexpected but sooooo yummy. I loved getting to try fresh fruit from the markets, like Mangosteen and Durian. I loved walking around and learning about the temples and the art in the temples.

A “must do” foodie experience

I had the most amazing experience! Not only was it a culinary experience it was a cultural experience. We were able to do food samplings from one of the largest markets in Chiang Mai as well as go to multiple restaurants to taste of variety of food. I appreciated that we were able to experience the food in multiple areas. The tour leader, Pondtip was knowledgeable, attentive to our needs, and a wonderful guide!
