Join Trailhead Thailand’s popular Chiang Mai city cycling tour and explore the intricate network of narrow winding streets around Chiang Mai’s old town. Glimpse into the local’s way of life and see what makes the ‘rose of the North’ so unique. During this Chiang Mai city tour you will stop off at a number of attractions including Warorot market, beautiful off the beaten track temples and a blacksmith community. Along the way you will sample some delicious snacks and refreshments before finishing the tour at the Trailhead shop.   • Lightweight rain jacket Never trust the tropical climate
  • Bottom All Mountain or DH style shorts. If you don’t have one, we recommend light fabric shorts with elastic waist-band or surf shorts.
  • Shoes Athletic shoes, lightweight hiking boots, or trail running shoes with a sturdy sole work well. (Riders can bring their own clipless pedals and shoes and we can install them on our bike).
  • Camera Sport or compact one.
  • Sunscreen & Sunglasses
  • Some cash If you enjoy your ride, please tip your guide.
  • If you are bringing your own bike it should be tuned and in good working condition before the start of the tour. We strongly recommend you have your bike checked out prior to departure. A mountain bike of good quality and in good operating condition is essential. Our guides carry tools and a supply of spare parts suitable for use on most bikes. If your bike has special features or specifications, then you must supply your own parts and tools.

Wheel around Chiang Mai and immerse yourself in the sights and smells of this old cit

Had a great bike ride and tour through the streets of Chiang Mai. Vivi was a very good, friendly, knowledgeable tour guide and she was happy to answer any and all questions. I really liked her encouragement to try some different types of market foods. The ride was easy and mostly off big roads and provided a different perspective on the city — a good mix of locations to show life in Chiang Mai. I'm really glad I did this tour.

Great experience with Vivi as our guide, who was knowledgeable and a great host. Tour was well paced for both adults and children and interesting too and not arduous. Lunch went down well and the extra touches like feeding the fish at the temple and trying food specialities at the market was fun. The coffee/trailbike shop with complimentary drinks was also lovely. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend.

What a fabulous way to see and learn about Chiang Mai. Our guide Vivi was very informative and along with Kib and Pang the morning was perfect. Cycling throughout the old town was safe and we made heaps of stops along the way. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

I was the only one who signed up for today's trip. The tour guide said that I was a VIP. He paid close attention to my riding status along the way. He also gave detailed introductions to each scenic spot he visited. He also helped take photos and videos along the way, especially since he could ride while riding. It’s really cool to shoot a video while riding! By the way, he can also make coffee, so remember to try it next time!

Both guides where fantastic with great personalities and great language skills. Vivi made me laugh and helped me engage with local traditions. Even if it didn't go to plan hahaha.
