Overview

An easy tour to Goðafoss and Húsavík. Goðafoss is also known as the water of the gods, which played a role in the christening of Iceland. We drive to the waterfall and spend some time there and then we head to Húsavík where we will make a stop at the Geosea baths where you can take a relaxing bath with a great view of Skjálfandaflói (Shaky Bay) afterwards we will take a little look at Húsavík and then head back to Akureyri, stopping at some good photo points on the way if conditions allow.

Excellent Akureyri Port Excursion

My husband and I booked this tour directly through the tour guide’s website. The entire process from booking the tour, to receiving pickup instructions, meeting our guide, and taking the tour was very easy. We ended up being the only two people on the tour and were treated to a very enjoyable day with our guide. The town of Húsavík, the GeoSea Baths, and the Goðafoss Waterfall made for a great experience during our port visit in Akureyri.

Tour with local feel versus tourists

We did the falls and geosea thermal baths. What a great experience! The baths were not crowded and only had locals. No tour busses. Our guide, Jonas, was excellent. Provided so much knowledge about Akureyri and Iceland, the architecture, the history and the landscape. The stops were great and Jonas provided so much more background on the Icelandic people than expected. We would highly recommend.
